I love pudding so when I saw that Cha Long also sold pudding, I decided to give them a try. As Cha Long is from Maxim's I was thinking perhaps they would taste like the Starbucks versions as they also own that one as well.They have two flavors: oolong tea and 3.6 milk cheese. Each cost $26. Taking it out of the case, the cup has no design. It's just white plastic. Opening it is by plucking at the notch on the lid.
When I lifted the lid, I saw there was a tiny spoon stuck on it. It looked like the Haagen Dazs spoon. No wonder they staff didn't provide me with a spoon when I bought it!
The pudding was a light brown in color. However, when I scooped it out, it was super soft. Not creamy but at least not rubbery. The taste was excellent. It had a strong taste of oolong tea. It was fragrant and not sweet at all.
The other flavor is 3.6 Milk Cheese. It was also the same wrapping except the wolf was wearing white.
The back I saw said the pudding had a layer milk pudding and a layer of cheese pudding.
Opening it up, the pudding was white in color. But this was even better than the oolong one! The top was a soft strong milk pudding. Digging to the bottom was a layer of cheesecake! Well, cheesecake without the crust. But it was great. A strong smooth texture with a rich cheese taste. I didn't expect that.
The puddings were great. Size portion was larger than the Starbucks versions. Taste was better, too. Though the Starbucks ones had a sturdier texture. Otherwise, I think the puddings are better than the drinks!
