Boyfriend, his friend and I were leaving from a toy fair in this building when we decided to just have dinner here at 味口福 (English name: MHC Delicious) as it had started to rain rather heavily. The place was busy with people ordering take away and almost full with diners.It appeared to serve baked rice dishes, burgers and hot dogs with a very Hong Kong style touch. Boyfriend's friend wanted to share a snack platter ($56). This included fish fillet, cheese balls, potato wedges, onion rings and chicken wings. All deep fried. I think the only thing from this entire platter that was good was the chicken wings. They were really delicious and packed with flavor! The worst I think was the onion rings. It was just too oily.
I had the beef burger ($34) and added lettuce and tomato ($6) in a honey sauce. I wanted cheese, too but boyfriend tried to remember the lettuce and tomato, he forgot the cheese. It was definitely a very Hong Kong style burger. The patty was roughly made and a bit chewy. But it still tasted pretty good.
Boyfriend had the baked pork chop in tomato sauce with rice ($65 for dinner set). The pork chop was thickly sliced and tender. There wasn't enough sauce but at least the rice wasn't mushy.
As he ordered the dinner set, his came with two slices of garlic toast. These were ok. Nothing special.
As boyfriend was still hungry, he ordered a hot dog with homemade meat sauce ($32) and gave the drink to his friend. The meat sauce on here was fabulous. Very rich and meaty. The sausage was crispy and the bun was toasted.
The food was pretty decent and definiltey not expensive. A very Hong Kong style Western fast food. Service was pretty friendly and it seemed very popular with people who lived near by. I also want to note, this restaurant really stuck to only allowing 50% dining capacity like the government COVID requirement. They literally told a group that they could only serve 10 people and turned them away! That is something I haven't seen in other places I've dined at. Very impressive!
