For more than 2 decades years in Mei Foo, I have seen this Bakery since I was in Kindergarten. It was opened by my kindergarten schoolmate's mom. And this store has seen the changes of Mei Foo while itself has remain largely unchanged.

From the advent of Maxim's and Maria's to their decline and departure from Mei Foo, this store has seen it all, and maintained an sense of belonging, hard work, and believe in its quality, something many people remember about the late 1980s to 90s.. No gimmicks here. Hong Kong cookies made here are good. I especially like the flaky butter cookies.

Coming in the store gives a sense of nostalgia, and its goods maintained the traditional flavors of a middle class east-west bakery as it has since it started. The aunties here have great attitude, are efficient, and maintains this place clean.

One of my favorite baked goods here is the Scallion Chicken Bread 香葱鸡包, a more unique offering. It is great as a meal on the go.

All in all, if you want solid quality baked goods from a clean traditional Hong Kong bakery, this is it.
