With a group purchase coupon I arrived at the restaurant at 6:00pm which was the time I had telephone reserved three days ago. Only a few customer was there but I still had to wait for about 5 minutes since no one was at the entrance to serve me immediately.I sat down knowing that I could choose one from five main courses which was out of my expectation . I sat down knowing that I could choose one from five main courses which was out of my expectation . Of the main courses provided I chose the US Sirloin steak which had originally been touted in the advert for the coupon.
The tomato soup came first which was hot enough but the veggies in the soup was mushy and not fresh enough. The bread was very soft and still with some temperature.
Next came the starter which was a small piece of toast with goose liver on top, and a tiny amount of green salad, it was probably the best thing of the whole dinner. The goose liver was so creamy and aromatic, the veggies were crunchy too, albeit they were only present from a cheapskate.
The US Sirloin was those you could expect from the fast food chain, so you could forget anything that concerned with the taste of beef, nevertheless it was tender enough, savoury and cooked to the right degree of rawness. The veggies came with the steak was fresh and tasty too.
The dessert got a mystifying name "Charcoal Fuwawa", dessert is always not my thing so I just want to give my comment in two words, too sweet! The cold coffee on the other hand was quite up to par with the price tag shown on the menu.
题外话/补充资料：
With the group purchase coupon, I paid only $100, that was really quite a treat by today's living standard! :PBut if one go without the coupon, it'll be around $240 with 10% service charge added! :oAnd that's I guess the reason for so many "crying faces" for this restaurant!
