I visited this restaurant early Sunday morning, hoping to get a nice breakfast before some shopping. Not only was the food mediocre, the terrible service of the two "waitresses" put me in a completely foul mood. After reading some comments here, it seems that my experience was not one-off. If the owner of this restaurant happens to chance upon these reviews on openrice, he would be doing himself a serious disservice if he either did not properly retrain his staff, or simply hired new staff.
1. The staff are so rude to customers, including old grannies who may have trouble deciding what they want, or where they want to sit. A grannie who was walking slowly to her seat was scolded by one of the waitresses under her breath, and was told to get a move on as she was blocking her way. I'm sure I'm not the only one who heard this rude comment and I was sitting even several tables away.
2. The staff do not give you menus, they do not respond to customer's requests to take orders, they basically do not serve the customers at all. It is only if a customer is so lucky to be able to get the attention of one of the staff who happens to be free at that moment, will any attention be given at all.
3. The staff throw utensils and plates onto the tables as if they are completely dissatisfied with their job and resent the fact that they are in fact working. It's as if you need to simply "take it" as part of the experience if you choose to eat there. In fact, when they clear away plates or cups, they essentially snatched it off the table.
4. On the table next to me, when one of the girls was clearing up the table, she snatched a not yet finished drink off the table, so that the liquid spilled, all over the table, the chair as well as onto the leg of a customer. She didn't even apologise but merely handed over napkins like a mute. He was left to mop up the chair and his leg whilst she continued cleaning the table.
5. Just as I thought it couldn't get any worse, as I was starting on my waffle that came 15 minutes after everything else had been finished, i felt a cold liquid pour down my back. I jolted up, and the same girl that had spilled a drink on the other customer told me that she had accidentally poured water on my back. She gave me a napkin and reassured me it was JUST WATER. I put down my cutlery and just left - I could not bear another minute in that place. As I went to pay, I asked for her manager's number - she claimed she did not have it and immediately apologised for what had happened. Clearly in her mind she knew what was going on. I'm sure that those girls in there get lots of complaints and requests to speak to the manager. She knew that she had gone overboard.
Since I couldn't speak to the manager, here I am, ventilating the terrible experience I had in this restaurant. You can be sure I'm not going back here ever. What you get in terms of food is just not worth it.
