Ngau Tau Kok has been undergoing some transformation recently, other than the traditional industrial and commercial buildings, there are more and more hipster cafes and coffee shops, as well as theme cafe like Meow Box Cafe. As you can get from the name, Meow Box Cafe is definitely for cat lovers. It has a hearty interior design with lots of cats in it, the welcome sign on the door, cat cushions inside the cafe, corner that sells fair trade products, stickers on the wall and glass. I wish there were real cat(s) though.
Partnering with Green Monday, Meow Box Cafe serves a few green dishes. There are not many choices on the menu though. Visiting the cafe at around 2pm, I got the choices from both the lunch menu and tea menu.

After spending some time studying the menu, I finally made up my mind for this Three-way Toasts and a cup of oat milk gingerbread latte. The toast, actually sliced baguette was not really soggy, but was still quite difficult to cut with a knife. The scrambled egg and mushroom were rather salty to me. The salmon and cheese one was fine.
It was great that they don’t charge you extra for choosing oat milk. The gingerbread latte was quite sweet though, as you can expect because of the syrup.
The whole set wasn’t cheap, it costed me HKD$60 in total…
