Watami Japanese Dining is a place I used to go a lot when I’m in high school. Today, I’m back for there special - seafood hotpot dinner set!This particular Watami Japanese Dining restaurant is located at Lai Chi Kok. The overall dining place is spacious and comfortable. Sashimi combo - the sashimi served here is pretty good. The portion is large and the salmon is thick cut, just the way I liked it. Salad - raw egg on top of the huge bowl of salad. Japanese sake boiled clams - the clams itself is fresh and very good. The sake favor is just right - not too strong but enough to bring out the freshness of the clams.

Chicken thigh with teriyaki sauce - this is the best dish of the meal. The chicken thigh is juicy and tender. You can’t really go wrong with teriyaki sauce with chicken really.

Seafood hotpot - this is the main course of the meal. We choose this because the photos on the menu look so good. It turns out to be very good too, although the oyster is quite small in size, but everything else is better than what I expected.

Beef rice bowl - this huge bowl of rice is so satisfying. Plenty of beef in the bowl. The rice is Japanese rice. Yummy.

Chocolate cake - quite a nice dessert to end the dinner. It’s a bit too sweet for my taste.

Overall, the whole 2 people dinner set only costs $400 for everything. It’s really affordable and I highly suggest you to try.
