Unless I have had an awful experience, I would have downloaded the app, register an account, and spend 30 minutes of my valuable time to write a review. My sister picked this restaurant for my birthday. I brought over a very nice bottle of wine with great expectations. However, it turned out to be 1/ Long waiting for food 2/ Bad attitude (Manager) 3/ Very immature and amateur operations.

1/ Long Waiting for Food

To be fair, appetisers came in time but we waited for more than 30 mins (1 Hour since we made the order) after we finished our appetisers for the main dishes.

We have kindly asked the staffs to follow up for three times. They acknowledged but never came back with any indication of what’s going on and what’s the expected serving time.

2/ Bad Attitude

After chasing for three times, the store manager came and made 3 very nonsense points: 1) it’s only been an hour 2) the table next to us also didn’t get the food yet even though they ordered earlier 3) we are the first customers who complained ever since they opened and other customers were calm.

For 1), an hour is ridiculously long to serve dishes, and having the restaurant manager to say this without apologising upfront but finding excuses is a completely impolite and immature response. She even put the blame on us for not telling her when they should serve the main dishes. We cleaned up our own table and the table was empty for 30 mins.

5 minutes after the discussion with the store manager and after we asked them to cancel the rest of the orders, and check the bill, the rest of the dishes suddenly came all at once. Have the orders always been ready???

She even said that it’s not her problem. Hello! You are representing your restaurant, not yourself. It’s the restaurant’s fault, therefore it’s your fault as the restaurant manager.

For 2), it doesn’t matter to us how long the table next to us waited for. To a customer, we don’t care as you are serving us and please don’t expect us to feel that it’s right because the table next to us had a worse experience.

For 3), she basically implied that we are not civilised while all other customers were calm? I am CERTAIN that we weren’t the first customers who have had such awful experience.

3/ Amateur Operations

Throughout the whole dinner, no one ever came and take away the finished dishes. We have 3 knives and 3 forks with some spoons on each person’s plate and no one cared. We had to move the empty dishes by ourselves to the bar table to leave some room on our table.

Water glasses were always empty.

Not familiar with the menu and not able to explain.

Again, unless it’s such an awful experience, I wouldn’t have spent so much time writing this.

To be fair, food was good, but the service completely destroy the whole thing.
