It was my mum's birthday so our family went to her favourite Chinese restaurant for dinner. I booked a table a week ago but then I found out that there was no need to book anymore because there were not a lot of people. I was shocked because this restaurant used to be very popular. I have to say I understand why the roasted pig is so famous in this restaurant, the skin was crispy and crunchy. There was a bit of fat between the meat and skin, the meat was tender and juicy. The seafood sauce tasted very good with the roasted pig. Deep fried tofu with scallop:
The tofu was smooth and mixed well with the dry scallop. It was juicy and the sauce was very yummy. Fried beans with minced pork:
This was my sister's favourite, the bean was crunchy but a bit oily. The minced pork was very tasty with the black bean sauce. Fish fillet with sweet corn sauce:
The fish fillets were in big pieces, they were meaty and juicy. The coating was thin and crispy. The sweet corn sauce came separately so we can put as much as we want on the fish fillet. The sweet corn sauce was sweet and creamy. Crab steam rice:
This was the highlight of the night, the rice was delicious, they absorbed all the juice from the crab. The texture of the rice was soft and very easy to chew. The garlic and spring onion definitely lift up the flavour. The crab was juicy and meaty. I really enjoyed the rice and you can eat it on its own.
