Lunch here is decent (a good option for business meals around Wanchai) but the dinners are truly spectacular. There were two dinner set options available when we visited, each containing 10+ courses. The wait staff are friendly, helpful and skillful storytellers who bring you on a magical trip through all of HK's recent culinary past. We sat through what seemed like 20 courses over the course of four hours, and it was a total blast. Each course was no more than a few bites, but obviously took hours of work to prepare and present. My favorite courses included the chili-flavored crab meat in a baby food jar, deconstructed Xiao Long Bao (looks like a raw egg yoke on a spoon but bursts into a thousand juicy flavors in the mouth) and the best foie gras I've ever tasted. The rice noodles cooked in forty-hour shrimp oil and the fried rice with abalone shavings were fairly memorable too, although those are just the courses I remember--after a while, course upon course of fantastically delicious food and the stories behind them told by the enchanging wait staff all blended together into an evening of utter delight, so that by the time we stepped out of the restaurant, it was as if we've all gone on one wonderous journey through Hong Kong's recent past together. Highly recommended for foodies and history buffs.
