After hearing many people recommend their duck fat fries, I decided to try the Butchers Club Burger in Central. On a busy Friday night, the streets of Central are flooded with people, but thankfully, there weren't many people there at 7pm. After hearing many people recommend their duck fat fries, I decided to try the Butchers Club Burger in Central. On a busy Friday night, the streets of Central are flooded with people, but thankfully, there weren't many people there at 7pm.

At first, I wasn't quite impressed with their menu selection as there didn't seem to be much variety, but we went for the Hogtown Burger and the Wu Tang Burger and also a Duck Fat Fries to share.

Initially we didn't want to order a drink and simply asked for some water. However, they didn't have any and said the tap water was not filtered, however I don't think the tap water in Hong Kong is particularly drinkable. Therefore I had no choice, being thirsty, but to order a coke for $20, which I thought was rather expensive, seeing as the burger itself was already rather pricey.

However, I was very impressed with the quality of food they provided. Firstly, the Hogtown Burger ($160) was absolutely amazing. It contains 3 different types of meat: dry aged beef patty, pulled pork and bacon. The combination of the meat was just so juicy and you could taste the sear of the beef versus the softness of the pulled pork and it is just delicious. It's also topped with honey mustard, which I love and goes well with all the meat and also Gouda cheese on top of the beef patty, which provided that cheesiness that perfects the burger. Although it was a bit expensive, it was worth its price!

We also had the Wu Tang burger ($120) which has an interesting Asian twist to it, which is quite unique as you normally associate burgers with western food. It incorporates kimchi inside and hot sauce which makes it extra spicy.

Also, last but not least, the duck fat fries ($30) were super amazing. The fries were big and filled with potato stuffing. It was fragrant but not too oily and it's a perfect snack to share
