went for lunch yesterday with a friend. we order the lunch sets, i got the japanese apple curry beef with sesame rice and my friend got herself the grilled chicken with sesame rice. both $60 per set.our bowls of rice were just plain rice sprinkled with some pathetic amount of sesame on top. i honestly don't get it why this place has to make a fuss about the sesame thing on the menu. come on, do you see descriptions about spring onions or parsley on the menu, if they are obviously just for gar

the curry beef was disastrous. the sauce which is supposed to be japanese curry, was not thick at all. it was 1:99! it's 1 oil: 99 curry spiced water! it's the worst curry i have ever had. i could barely call it warm when it arrives on our table. And it was not beef cubes but beef with tendons. it tastes as though they were beef cooked on its own long ago and just before the dish is served the beef was dumped into the curry water to serve.
My friend's chicken was better, but way too salty.
i think the of the HKD70, HKD30 goes to location and HKD20 goes to decor, HKD10 goes to staff costs and stuff... the meal is worth no more than HKD10. my friend told me dinner was much better. but i swear i will never give this another try.
