I was planning to eat something else but then I saw the words "Epic Shrimp Burger" and I thought to myself ... how epic can it be?Triple O's is a Canadian burger chain (though quite honestly, the one here all the ingredients are not from Canada except maybe the tiny maple leaf on the corner of my napkin). I've had their burgers a few times and it's always been ok. But the shrimp burger? Was it better or worse than the one that McDonald's brought out a few times?
The burger was $55 so I decided on the combo with a further milkshake upgrade as someone told me that was the only thing good about Triple O's. It was their milkshakes. And I quite agree. It was pretty good. Nice and thick. I chose cookies and cream and wow ... was it packed with blitzed pieces of Oreo.
But back to the shrimp burger. It didn't look appetizing as it was all squished together. There was a slice of lemon on top unlike the usual slice of pickle they put on their regular burgers. But the taste? It tasted better than it looked. The patty were big slices of shrimp. Whole pieces of shrimp! The sauce had that nice amount of tang that goes well with seafood. This was better than the McDonald's shrimp burger. Epic? No but pretty good.
