Unique and popular cafe

The cafe is very popular, and we can see why after we tried their food.We came here on a Monday at 1pm, and we had to wait tables.  We were told to write down our name and number, that they would call us when there are seats, and the expected waiting time is 30 minutes. However, they called us after 5 minutes luckily, and we originally were assigned a small table, but we switched to the zashiki style table after the other table left. There are only 4 tables in this small, but exquisitely designe

We came here on a Monday at 1pm, and we had to wait tables.  We were told to write down our name and number, that they would call us when there are seats, and the expected waiting time is 30 minutes. However, they called us after 5 minutes luckily, and we originally were assigned a small table, but we switched to the zashiki style table after the other table left. There are only 4 tables in this small, but exquisitely designed cafe. Two of the tables are zashiki style, where you have to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. 

There are no mains or savory food, and mostly dessert and drinks.
Sap san toast

 We ordered the Sap san toast ($72), which took around 25 minutes to make. Looking at the cartoon photo of the toast on the menu, we were not sure what it would be, whether it would be omelette or french toast. In the end, it turned out to taste like sweet egg, and was heavenly with the butter, cream and honey. The caramelised banana on the side was good as well.

 We also ordered the white choco cream rum and banana cheesecake ($68), which was sweet and delicious. It was beautiful with bananas well arranged on top, and cream surrounding the cake. The cheesecake was quite sweet and the rum flavor was well blended with the white chocolate flavor. However, as we had already just finished a sweet Sap san toast, eating another very sweet cheesecake was quite heavy and filling for us.

 For drinks, we got a Genmaicha Latte ($45), which was very presentable to the point we did not want to mix it before drinking (although the staff specifically told us to do so). The latte was creamy, rich, and not too sweet, which was a refreshing difference to the two desserts.
