As I have lived in the US before, I thought I have already tried different kinds (countries) of food. However, I have never tried any African food. So, my friend and I went to South-Africa-inspired Biltong bar – Chief's Blend-- in Wan Chai. This place is semi-open with 4 indoor seats and outdoor standing. Biltong Sampler: Including house-made Original and Chili Biltong. Biltong is similar to beef jerky, but it is hung and air-dried. I think it is more flavorful and tender than jerky. Especially

Peri Peri Chicken Wrap and Salad: Super tender and juicy chicken with green salad, paired with spicy sauce in a wheat tortilla wrap. The sauce is very special and a bit spicy, but the juicy and refreshing green salad can balance the heat. Spicy but cannot stop my hand and mouth. 😂
Farm-style Beef Boerewors Hot Dog: The sausage is in South-African style, using beef and a lot of spices, flavorful but not over flavored and salty. Sweet pickled onion, almonds, and greens are on top of the sausage, unexpectedly matching with each other. Sides are fried potato wedges and salad. Fried potato wedges are lightly seasoned, and fried fresh and crispy. The dressing of the salad is a bit sour in my opinion, but I still like it!
Beet & Berry Smoothies: Made with beetroot juice, mixed berries, kale, and chia seeds. No added sugar, so all you can taste is the original fresh ingredients. Beetroot flavor is a bit stronger than berries, but you can still feel the seeds of the berries. Well balanced in sweet and sour, and super refreshing. I am apricated there is no banana in this smoothie because most smoothies use bananas.
