Wai Kee is one of the most renowned eateries in the Sham Shui Po area. I always opt for the pork liver vermicelli noodles. The ginger and rice wine based soup with loads of "blood water" is my favorite.I don't get it why they seem to have different standards and recipes in different shops, even they're just next door. I don't get it why they seem to have different standards and recipes in different shops, even they're just next door. The smallest shop serves the best quality. This time the smallest shop was not open so I went to the shop next by. The noodle bowl has gotten huge like a mixian bowl😳that means the soup must've been diluted by water and MSG. Turns out I was right, the soup was too salty, not ginger at all, noodles were precooked and slushy, the amount of liver was good but also overcooked and firm like usual. So disappointing!
