I've recently read many promotional articles on TRU in food magazines. They claim they are the best Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in HK. Since they are offering 15% discount(with coupon) + double Asia Miles, I went to try out with a friend. 1) The ambience is nice : a little romantic + relaxing + contemporary decor.......very nice dining table + leather sofa......the manager even invited us to walk around the restaurant and to take a good look around. They will knock down the small windo

They will knock down the small windows next month and replace them by huge glass walls. Well, I'll see how it turns out.....
2) Since the restaurant is new, the Vietnamese menu is not available yet. They only served a Thai menu.....you know...the usual Thai stuff and not too many choices. I didn't really see any Thai fusion dishes....disappointed!!! However, the food quality is a little above average and very good for "kwai-lo" customers. The dessert menu totally sucks!!!!!!!
3) I actually saw a lot of customers having drinks only and no food. The manager kept asking me if I wanted some drinks. Finally I order a bottle of house wine($330)....reasonable quality.
Finally, the manager asked me to join the restaurant's Frequent Diner program because his company owns 10 restaurants + deli + bars in Soho + Lan Kwai Fong.
Make sure you give good tips after the usual 10%, otherwise they may not say "Thank you" and "Good Bye"......my experience anyway......
