I've been coming here on and off for 2 years now. At first (before coffee shops were on every corner), they excelled in every way. Service was always quick and pleasant. It was easy to get a table. Quality was always a premium.But lately they have lost touch somewhat. The place is always busy, esp on a weekend, with the usual mob of 'one coffee while I play on my mobile phone for 2 hours' brigade taking up seats. They refurbed the front bit I guess to make more room, but means the ordering area
But lately they have lost touch somewhat. The place is always busy, esp on a weekend, with the usual mob of 'one coffee while I play on my mobile phone for 2 hours' brigade taking up seats. They refurbed the front bit I guess to make more room, but means the ordering area is very corwded. Service has also fallen off a cliff. Gone is the friendliness I used to enjoy, now the baristas seem upset that we've taken them away from their cellphones for a minute to serve you.
Even the coffees have suffered. The flat white used to be served in a glass and was perfect every time. Now you get a small teacup and the flat white was almost indistinguishable from the latte.
Hope the owners (the wife we met back in Summer 2015 and we were very complementary at the time) wuill have a word with the staff and get the customer service back on track.
