Came here on a weekday for brunch as we have passed it during the weekends and it’s always packed. It was a tough choice deciding which dish to order as all of them are interesting and we wanted try them all, however we settled on the Calcutta and the London, along with a flat white and an iced latte. It was a tough choice deciding which dish to order as all of them are interesting and we wanted try them all, however we settled on the Calcutta and the London, along with a flat white and an iced latte.
First to arrive were the drinks, the iced latte was cold with a strong rich coffee flavor. The flat white was hot with a strong coffee flavor and decorated beautifully.
The Calcutta was the first dish to arrive and the chicken thigh and leg were very crispy with a strong Indian spices and sauce, the slaw was fresh but there was a problem with the masala waffles, they were soggy and mushy! I’m not sure if it was the mix or they were not cooked properly. However, they did have a strong masala spice taste.
The London, the beef was extremely tender and had been slowed cooked for hours and melted in our mouths, the focaccia bread was toasted perfectly and was warm and crispy and was perfect to soak up the cassoulet sauce. This was all topped off with a perfectly fried egg.
Overall, nice chilled place to hangout, coffees were good and the food is different taking you for a journey around the world, but pricey.
