Although it’s a three months’ wait, the booking was relatively easy as you just need to WhatsApp their number on a specific date. This is way better than those that needs non stop calling 🙃Since it was our first visit, we did good research and preordered all the must try items. 1 Michelin Star Restaurant / Asia’s Best Restaurant

With a 3 months’ wait, we finally get to give the infamous The Chairman Restaurant a try. Although it’s a three months’ wait, the booking was relatively easy as you just need to WhatsApp their number on a specific date. This is way better than those that needs non stop calling 🙃

Since it was our first visit, we did good research and preordered all the must try items. All did not disappoint and are well executed.

尖椒龙趸头配水饺 was my favorite of the night. I am normally not a fish head person but it was so flavorful. Each bite was full of collagen. The dumplings pairs well by soaking up the sauce. This is nom.

The 咸柠檬金银蒜蒸蛏子 was steamed to perfection. The subtle hint of salty lemon makes the dish unique.

蜂巢芋泥烟鸭盒 was light and fluffy. Like the crunch and the mushy taro pairing. 臭豆腐 was very crispy but not stinky enough.

梅干菜扣肉煲仔饭 was very evil. Very fatty and it’s definitely a guilty pleasure. The 饭焦 at the bottom is perfection.

鸡油花雕蒸大花蟹配陈村粉is the signature dish of the restaurant but I am not a fan. I think it’s me who don’t really like the taste of花雕 as it’s quite overpowering. But it is definitely a better balance than 合时小厨’s 蒸马友.

Last but not least, the dessert trio. The 绿豆糕 is soooo good!

Overall, the experience does not disappoint. It’s just that you need to adjust your thoughts re the waiting time or else it will affect your thoughts.

Next time, will definitely try more adventurous dishes.

Price: HK$1000 pp (dinner)

Revisit: 9/10(cause of the long waiting time)
