I normally do not care for (and to) comments on such a popular chain restaurant, but a visit here last night left me scratching my head ...Came with a friend for a casual dinner. Sun dried tomato angel hair:
He had to FIND the tomato (think there maybe 2 pieces buried in the pasta), but worse is that the pasta looks/feels/tastes just like chinese fried noodles -- the kind one gets in the morning with congee.
Pink Lady:
Gross. The drink precipitates leaving one layer of "mush" (which looks like stir fried tomato with egg whites) and some gross unfiltered water.
Ravioli:
Feels like it was nuked (dried edges) with typical HK "cream sauce" -- cream + water + corn starch ...
Milkshake:
In reality a melting/melted soft icecream. Nuff said.
Overall, very bad HK-style western food; I won't even call this Italian despite its pretentions. How could a retaurant chain be SO bad? Much rather have Cafe de Coral (same group) and get better (read: "normal") food for one third the price ...
