Wanting a quick lunch in Tsim Sha Tsui before I met boyfriend later, I walked by someone passing out a flyer for Selfie Cafe. Selfie Cafe? Isn't this the same one in Causeway Bay? The person nodded but they said they also offer lunch sets.Selfie Cafe has expanded to Tsim Sha Tsui apparently. Unlike their Causeway Bay branch, this one offers hot meals such as pasta. They also offer cakes which seemed interesting as a future cake stop. The space is a bit bigger as it's an actual shop now instead
Selfie Cafe has expanded to Tsim Sha Tsui apparently. Unlike their Causeway Bay branch, this one offers hot meals such as pasta. They also offer cakes which seemed interesting as a future cake stop. The space is a bit bigger as it's an actual shop now instead of a kiosk in a mall. I decided to get something off their lunch set. Sets include one drink with an option to upgrade for a selfie drink. Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge.
Pumpkin Seafood Creamed Italian ($79). Which is basically a seafood risotto in a pumpkin cream sauce. This was fairly creamy and the risotto was not al dente. So, if you are a fan of al dente risotto, this is not for you. However, it was ok for me as it was not over cooked. However, they offer a discount if you add your name to their mailing list (aka member registration). A pretty good deal to save a few bucks here and there.
Hazelnut Latte ($19). With an additional $19, you can upgrade your set lunch drink to a selfie drink. I think that's a fairly decent price so I did that. I mean ... come on? I'm sitting at a place that features this gimmick and I'm not ooing to roll with it? Previously, I had to do use some weird app that didn't work for this selfie drink. But this time they just said "whatsapp this number your selfie". I decided to just upload any photo for them. The staff then insisted that it be a cold drink for best results. Umm ... why is it not successful with at hot drink? I shouldn't have agreed and insisted on a hot drink to see what the difference was. But I just nodded and got a cold drink. The drink was ok. Though not enough hazelnut taste. The printing of the photo was fairly good.
A fun cafe where you can print your face or whatever on a drink. I'm interested in their cake display and I may return again for a cake.
