It has been such a long time that I go to afternoon tea with my friend since I started my studies. Life is busy and as a girl, the best thing to do on weekend is, sitting right in front of the harbour and talk about our life with our beloved ones. Today, we chose to have our afternoon tea at Royal Pacific Hotel. Reservation was made and I requested to have a window seat. Today, we chose to have our afternoon tea at Royal Pacific Hotel. Reservation was made and I requested to have a window seat. Upon arrival, the staff brougt us to our little corner right in front of the juice station, facing the harbour and seeing Elements Mall from far, which is relaxing!!!!We ordered the Sweet Gardent Tea Set for 2, costs $368, which is fairly cheap when compared to other hotel tea sets in Tsim Sha Tsui. There is even a coupon on openrice, which we used, giving us 15% off on the bill.A Nice Bargain.The most spectacular part of the the set is definitely the standing pinky cotton candy, favourites of all kids. The whole tea set is decorated and plated like a forest in alice in the wonderland, with food like mushroom, trees, rocks etc. It's undoubtedly like an art piece.
Savory dishes include lobster and mango sandwiches, duck liver terrine on toast, Iberico ham with egg on baguette, smoken salmon and capsium cream wrap, prawn and celery on toast. I would comment that the savory dishes only include bread-kind of food, it would be nice to include some deep fried dishes like chicken wings/spring rolls, not just bread.
I like the lobster sandwich most as the lobster is fresh, matched well with the sweet mango.
The rest are desserts, chocolate log cake, tiramisu, chocolate rocks, green tea sponge cake, wild berries, gelato etc. Gelato is from movenpickLove vanilla flavour, tiramisu is nice, so creamy.
The tea set also comes with 2 glasses of wine or fresh fruit tea.
Overall, it is such a nice experience at the Pierside.
