As far as I know this restaurant is a social enterprise that employs elderly people since ageism is very real here in Hong Kong and I think it's wonderful that there are restaurants giving the elderly job opportunities so they can make some earnings and support themselves with dignity. Now on to the food. It was very tasty. Was it very authentic Vietnamese food? Probably not. But everything tasted great so I ain't complaining. Now on to the food. It was very tasty. Was it very authentic Vietnamese food? Probably not. But everything tasted great so I ain't complaining. The standout dishes for us were the chicken wings, curry, and pandan pudding. We ordered the dinner set for 3 people (even though we were a group of 4) and it was more than enough food. We ended up having to pack some of it since we couldn't finish everything!
I would definitely come back. And I can guarantee you the service will be excellent (the old timer waiters at Tai Ping Koon come to mind). The older generation are some of the most hardworking people I know and they take everything they do very seriously, unlike today's snowflake generation... pay a visit to this restaurant, enjoy the good food and service, and I promise you won't regret it! ;)
