Worst dining experience in Hong Kong. I was kicked out from my table while finishing my tea (which I paid !) just because someone is waiting. Note that I finished the dinner fairly fast (less than 1 hour from the moment I stepped in the place to the moment I was thrown out). What a shameful place.Food wise, the ingredients and raw materials used are good. The meat is fresh. Most Sichuan style condiments and spices are there. However these condiments are not great - they don’t smell like freshly
Food wise, the ingredients and raw materials used are good. The meat is fresh. Most Sichuan style condiments and spices are there. However these condiments are not great - they don’t smell like freshly ground so the overall taste was pretty dull. Besides too much sugar is added into the food so for someone into Sichuan / Chongqing food this feels really odd. Overall if you are NOT a Sichuan food lover and just want to get something spicy , then this place is okay. If you are really looking for authentic Sichuan food , you will be a bit disappointed. If you don’t mind slightly crowded and less decorated dinning environment , those small Sichuan restaurants around Hung Hum offer better authentic flavour.
Given the taste and service , the 230 HKD per person price tag is not good value for money.
