I had been to the Causeway Bay branch but never tried the original Tsim Sha Tsui branch due to the long queues. I thought the Causeway Bay branch was ok but not great but I was curious about the Tsim Sha Tsui branch. When I saw a Groupon deal where for $58, you get a hainan chicken rice, kaya toast and a drink. I decided to use it at the Tsim Sha Tsui branch to try it out as there are no longer any long queues. While in line to order, there was a wait staff that asked all the foreigners how many
While in line to order, there was a wait staff that asked all the foreigners how many people were with them and they reserved a table for them. It was weird as she asked the foreigner in front of me and behind me but skipped asking me if I needed to reserve a seat. After, I paid, I looked around for a seat. The same wait staff informed me that waiting for take out should stand here. I told her I wasn't there for take out and was looking for a seat. She then informed me that there were no seats available and did anyone reserve one for me. This, however, was ridiculous as there were many seats available. I said that I was completely ignored by her while she asked every one else in line to reserve a seat but me. She apologized and quickly got me a seat.
Food came super fast. Like less than 5 minutes.
Yin yang was ok. It was smooth and wasn't overly bitter like some places where I've had this.
