I booked Tapagria for a special occasion but unfortunately there is nothing it became apparent very quickly that there is very little special about this place. It was a friend's birthday and she is a huge Tapas and Sangria lover, so this combined with the stunning view seemed reason enough to try this restaurant out.Your first impression when arriving is one of awe as the restaurant is on the 18/F and has great views of the harbour, unfortunately that is the only thing the restaurant has going f

Tapagria boasts on its very creative, well designed, probably very expensive website that they have the biggest selection of Sangria in Asia, however unfortunately when we arrived we were told that they had run out of most of the fruit for the different varieties, so we were left choosing the original option which came out with a few sparse bits of fruit. 1 jug costs nearly $400 and served approx 4 people which makes it pretty expensive, however we were all more than happy to pay if there was something special/innovative about it, but unfortunately its just a very overpriced punch.
The Sunday menu is very strange as it includes a buffet of either Asian Tapas or Spanish Tapas and then 1 main course again Paella/Indonesian Fish/Thai Curry - what a bizarre choice. The Asian Tapas were over salted to the point where they were inedible, and the spanish tapas I could have rustled up myself in 2-minutes at home - cooked ham / capers / smoked salmon / bread.
Onto the mains, the indonesian fish was apparently passable according to one friend but another friend took one bite and left the rest of hers. I ordered paella which came out luke warm and tasted like it had been frozen and defrosted, nothing seemed fresh and there seemed to have been very little effort that went into the preparation/cooking of any of the dishes. I also left my food almost untouched. The waitresses didn't seem to care that we hadn't eaten our food and didn't check back to find out if everything was ok. I guess if the management has no concern for what they are putting out to customers, then its very unlikely their staff will.
There were 11 of us and I think almost everyone agreed that we would never return to this restaurant if we were paid.
How can a restaurant in such a lovely location, get everything so horribly wrong.
Oh and one final point, they appeared to have printed off A4 photographs and stuck them on the walls with pins, nothing was framed. This must be the shoddiest example of interior design I have ever seen.
Fortunately the birthday girl was just so pleased to be around friends that she said she didn't care and actually found the whole thing very funny, but to have been the organiser I can honestly say that it was quite humiliating.
Those of us that drank the 1 small glass of Sangria each, paid 420 pp for a terrible lunch that we didn't eat, and the non-drinkers paid 300 which felt like daylight robbery considering the experience we had.
