I am disappointed to share a negative experience I had at this bubble tea shop. I've been to this place a few times before, but what happened today has made me think twice about ever going back
I walked in, started off with an “excuse me”, and was just about to place my order. But before I could even finish my sentence, one of the staff members cut me off and yelled, “Wait!” in Mandarin. It took me by surprise, and frankly, it felt pretty rude. Then, instead of taking my order, she started this loud argument with another staff member - who, by the way, was eating right there in the bubble tea making area - about how to cancel some sold-out item on a online delivery platform order. It was clear they were both figuring it out on the spot. I mean, please properly train your staff before they start working instead of letting them figure out how to cancel an online delivery platform order while I was waiting to order.
After about five minutes of back and forth, she finally got around to making the bubble tea. Even when I said “excuse me” again, she just ignored me, let out a really annoyed sigh, and started to sort out receipts. As another review said, it does not make any sense to do the non-emergent stuff when customers are waiting to place their orders
Finally, after waiting for like ten minutes, I got to place my order. Then, as I was waiting at the pick-up counter, she shouted at me again to “Pick up your receipt.” I mean, really? That was the last straw for me. It was just the worst experience I’ve ever had in any shop. I’d say stay away from this place unless you’re somehow okay with being yelled at.
