A funny thing is that I’ve never tried this restaurant despite the fact that it has been here in my neighbourhood for a very long time. Craving for ramen, I finally gave it a go today.It’s nice that they’ve got a weekend set lunch, which the food were not cheap yet not overpriced either. I was amazed by the serving size of the ramen. There were five slices of pork belly. They looked like a lot but actually each of them was thinly sliced. In my opinion, the meat was way too fatty and to be honest

I was amazed by the serving size of the ramen. There were five slices of pork belly. They looked like a lot but actually each of them was thinly sliced. In my opinion, the meat was way too fatty and to be honest if you combine all 5 together, it’s just like 1-2 normal-thick pork belly pieces. Despite the gimmick of the pork, I absolutely fancied the chicken broth— flavours were rich and concentrated. Amount of ramen was more than enough for a girl, whereas the set also comes with salad, pickles and Chawanmushi. A big thumbs up to their soft boiled egg(溏心蛋) as well! It was well marinated and the yolk was runny and nom.

Service was satisfactory, with responsive and polite staff, who refilled our tea from time to time efficiently.
I also like the spacious seating here. Tables aren’t cramped altogether and I very much, appreciate the roomy space between tables especially with the pandemic. The Japanese decorations added on to the vibes, perhaps they could play some traditional Japanese songs for a better feel!!
