I had an eye-opening experience when I visited this restaurant back in feb.first came the waitress:今日我地的“chIIIiiief" recommendations 系。。。。。she gave me a mental picture of a Cherokee chief working in the kitchen.then came the waiter to answer our questions:me: 请问wild mushroom risotto 有什么mushrooms?waiter: 系普通果D mushroom.me: 之系white button?waiter: 唔系。系普通向market 买个D.me: 咁咪之系button 啰。waiter: 唔系。系普通向街市买个D。me: 之系shiitake?waiter: 系。me: so no wild mushrooms.....please....there's a difference between "wil

waiter: 系。
me: so no wild mushrooms.....
please....there's a difference between "wild" and "farmed" mushrooms.
after these enlightening speeches from them. we avoided any big words from the menu (guessing none of them will be the real thing) we placed our safer bets on a carpaccio to share and two identical fillets as main. we also ordered a small bottle of wine to wash the food down in case anything went wrong. food was ok but very ordinary workday kind of dinner.
the tables there are placed at an appropriate distance from each other. but other diners tended to talk loud, making the place a bit polluted (with noise, off course).
we felt like some cheese after the main but this darn place got no cheese selection at all ! at this price level, no cheese on the menu %!@#$.
the last impression i got from this restaurant is from the time i visited the men's. i was lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the spectacular scene of wait staff and kitchen staff happily smoking in the kitchen.
at this point, i got enough for one evening from one place......tutto bene, you got my first and last.
