I must say I was impressed with the food (dim sum) and the environment and decoration. However, what I am most displeased about - are the staff's service attitude. Perhaps they are over-worked or under-staffed, however, the kind of words and types of facial expressions were uncalled for.Case 1 - Call in for a table booking and requested for a lunch table for 5 at 12:00pm. Case 1 - Call in for a table booking and requested for a lunch table for 5 at 12:00pm. The (telephone ) reservationist rudely replies there is no table available at that time, and if I wanted to come, I would have to come right now and return the table within an hour. I explained that I needed traveling time to get to the restaurant, so being immediately there would not be possible unless I was already there! She replied "We only have a table available from 11am - 12noon... " Fine, forget it!
Case 2 - Went there for lunch (dim sum) with my parents a few weeks before Case 1, and the manager comes by when we sit down and TELLS US that they have a limited supply of tofu-dessert and that we needed to order it now or supplies will run out. First of all, we haven't even taken our seats yet, and furthermore, if you want to sell a customer something, wouldn't you at least want them to feel comfortable in speaking with you before you force them to buy anything?
Case 3 - On each visit I go, if I ever ask a staff for a baby chair for my child, it takes 3 requests, 15 minutes of wait time and a lot of patience.
The food is good, but it's not worth having to put up with all of the above.
