I remember walking by Veygo when it first opened. Today, I visited it with my friend J, who had a pleasant meal there recently. Environment & Hygiene:There were about 6 tables in the restaurant; a nice manageable size I would say. There were some pictures on the walls that went with the brown background. I really enjoyed the soft music playing in the background. Perfect for a relaxing morning with coffee. Hygiene was good. Service:Service was good. Both the staff gave off a very welcoming, warm

Hygiene was good.

Service:
Service was good. Both the staff gave off a very welcoming, warm and friendly impression.

Taste & Value:
Each dish came with a drink. Both J and I got a Cappuccino to come after. The milk foam on top was smooth, yet firm and not too thick.

The taste of the coffee was good. It had a nice body and a balanced taste; I especially liked that some sweetness was sprinkled on top!

For food, we shared. I was surprised that burgers could be ordered in the morning,

since I would think that it'd be a bit heavy. I wanted to try the beef burger, but J decided on the Vege Burger ($65). This burger had avocado, tomato, grilled zucchini, cheese with some homemade sauces between a nicely grilled bun. The ingredients were surely fresh, but the purple sauce was weird I thought. It reminded me of the cranberry sauce you put on turkey during Thanksgiving dinner. I later on asked the chef what the sauce was, and she told me that it was homemade fruit chutney. Also, the yellow sauce was hummus. The potato wedges on the side were AMAZING! They were well seasoned and remained crispy, until the end. I LOVED them!

The other thing we had was the Bacon Egg Benedict ($88). I found this interesting because instead of the regular English muffin, ciabatta was used.

. The bread was soft and tasted like an English muffin actually. This is the first benedict I've had in HK that didn't overflow my plate with egg yolk. The egg was cooked medium, which is actually how I prefer the yolk. Although the hollandaise sauce didn't quite stand out, I think it was enough as the saltiness of the bacon made up for it. Overall, I enjoyed this benedict.
