本身唔係想去呢間食午餐,去另一間見openrice 勁多like 的日本拉麵我被出面餐牌吸引,只限平日,$88午餐有兩款,我揀了天婦羅沙律都ok麵豉湯勁咸,豆腐是ok, 日本豆腐夠滑天婦羅竟然落鼓油,搞到咸。飯超多,是好夠飽紅豆雪糕,都有點日本味。呢間店寫住開業30幾年,裝修有日本味 似翻身過收銀著和服應是老板娘。咁啱有一枱熟客叫羅生羅太,她殷勤招待。我唔想聽她把聲,好煩,我成個lunch就是狂聽到她時常叫羅生羅太。埋單,原來收加一,我即刻覺得唔抵,因為侍應只對熟客殷勤。

呢間店寫住開業30幾年,裝修有日本味 似翻身過

收銀著和服應是老板娘。咁啱有一枱熟客叫羅生羅太,她殷勤招待。我唔想聽她把聲,好煩,我成個lunch就是狂聽到她時常叫羅生羅太。

埋單,原來收加一,我即刻覺得唔抵,因為侍應只對熟客殷勤。

不只一次在这家店吃,食物中规中矩, 虽然价格偏贵但完全可以接受。重点是收银的女服务员态度及其不好,讲话态度不好, 建议换个服务员, 店里其他的年纪比较大的阿嬷态度很好。 有几次取外卖, 也非要在外面等。不知道是不是贵店高贵,那么多店只有这一家店有这个要求。——————————————————————————————-/——————————-//-/-/—————————————-/———-

打落去叫外賣自取兩個餐,落到去見到張單落錯其中一個order,好聲好氣問:「個餐出左未?」之後收銀嗰位女士可能以為我想換餐,語氣勁差地講:「無㗎啦出晒,你而家先講?」其實如果佢語氣平和啲講出左,我唔換個餐都無問題,但唔明點解舖頭做錯嘢個客要被西返轉頭,全程半句唔好意思都無。再者,個三文魚餐盒完全係理想與現實,三文魚有筋,無味。加洲卷更加普通,而呢個餐盒講緊$128。唯一一樣可以講係佢地另外有$100餐盒,份量就比較足,但味道一樣差。

因為竹地係某公司員工,有訂枱優優,本來飲品雪糕二選一,而家就兩樣都有哂😋
可以選柚子茶或咖啡,雪糕有豆腐或抹茶口味
我選了柚子茶+豆腐雪糕
柚子茶係正常味道,豆腐雪糕好有驚喜,真係有好濃濃的豆腐味

Very mediocre food and when the bill came, there were many hidden charges. They do not give an itemised bill, but rather just a calculator print out of the final sum. When we calmly and quietly asked how it was calculated the waitress rolled her eyes and started to agitatedly talk about their strange pricing structure while her voice got more and more shrill. I never comment on openrice n never intended to do so but felt compelled to after this insanely ridiculous experience. Never expected such

Recently i walked past and saw a tempura / sashimi don lunch promotion for $88 - a three courses lunch with drinks. (Salad, miso soup, don, dessert and drinks! )We went and ordered one each. The sashimi don looks a little bit small, but its actually the perfect size. The sashimi is very fresh, honestly its better than the sashimi done in another japanese restaurant in happy valle

Recently i walked past and saw a tempura / sashimi don lunch promotion for $88 - a three courses lunch with drinks. (Salad, miso soup, don, dessert and drinks! )

We went and ordered one each. The sashimi don looks a little bit small, but its actually the perfect size. The sashimi is very fresh, honestly its better than the sashimi done in another japanese restaurant in happy valley and its cheaper too although its smaller. But we count on quality not quantity!

The tempura don is also very good. I was surprised to see prawn tempura there!

A very happy lunch, very satisfied. Hope this lunch promotion is for long term!

But yet, Chef Tatsumi still works away behind that sushi bar, still in his clogs and blue kimono. The place is now more quiet at night when a few years ago, it was packed with Japanese people sharing a drink with the sushi chef.

A couple of coworkers wanted to treat me to lunch one day to thank me for helping them out. They chose this place and it was the first time in a long time since I stepped foot in here.

Menu is in English and Chinese, in a large laminated folder. There are photos of all the food. Layout is very aged and dated. It's like you stepped back in time.

I ordered the hot somen noodles with assorted sushi for $135.

The somen was really quite good. The noodles were smooth and al dente. I love the chewiness of the noodle. The soup was a light dashi broth.

The assorted sushi was two salmon sushi, one flying fish roe and six California rolls. This is where it went a bit sad. Though the salmon was fresh and the flying fish roe was pop in your mouth crunchy, the California rolls were a bit weak. For this price, I would get a better deal in another Japanese restaurant elsewhere.

The lunch sets include a coffee or tea or ice cream. As we work in the nearby area, we get a special privilege of 10% off and can have both coffee/tea and ice cream.

I forgot to take a photo of the ice cream, but I always thought this place had the best ice cream. They make it themselves. On this day, they had yuzu and though it was a small scoop, it was delicious. Light and refreshing. I think I always love their ice cream more than anything.

Bojyo Japanese Restaurant maybe an establishment in Happy Valley. But the chef has lost touch with what is going on in other Japanese restaurants. That is perhaps why business has dwindled. Perhaps 20 years ago, this would have been acceptable. But in this day, it's just not cutting it. It makes me a bit sad to see this go down hill like this.

這一個定食,配有雪糕一客,抺茶味的雪糕,好香茶味,亦好香奶油味,是真正日本雪糕的細滑同濃烈口感。

我點下了一杯日式的咖啡,用上了西式的杯子,卻用上了日本的方式去蒸餾咖啡,味道濃,入口滑,真的是有如 UCC 的出品。

真的日本人主理的小店,服務非常之好,離開前更見到由廚房的日籍廚師兼老闆親口說謝謝,感覺好日本,這一份的待客熱情,真的是日本文化的獨有,這一份熱情也是令我們留下了對此餐廳一個愛慕之心的原因。

Stopped in to this neighborhood place one Friday night with a friend. It was completely full, but fortunately someone else was just leaving.It is a small izakaya-type place with a sushi bar and about a dozen tables. The service was quite good, though the ladies were very busy. Friendly and happy to explain (in Cantonese or English). They had a main menu in Cantonese and a picture version in English. It is a small izakaya-type place with a sushi bar and about a dozen tables. The service was quite good, though the ladies were very busy. Friendly and happy to explain (in Cantonese or English). They had a main menu in Cantonese and a picture version in English.

We had:
-- A little complimentary appetizer dish of beans and vegetables in a light sauce. (Yummy)
-- A medium-size mixed sashimi platter. The fish was all tender and succulent, with a nice mixture of flavors.

-- A dish of beef stewed in a soybean (miso) sauce. Quite delicious, though the beef was too fatty.
-- Mixed vegetables. (Well, Momma always said to eat some vegetables, so we did.)
-- Beef with Tofu. This is a combination I have not seen elsewhere, and we liked it. The soft, creamy tofu had absorbed the flavors of the beef sauce. Again, though, the thinly-sliced beef had too much fat on it for our taste.
-- Gyoza. This was disappointing -- the stuffing was nice, but the wrappers were soggy, like these had been kept in a steamer too long before being fried.

All in all, we thought the taste of the food was very good. The fatty beef is in keeping with the way many HK people like their meat, but was too much for us. The price was quite moderate (by HK-Japanese restaurant standards), and it would have been downright cheap if we hadn't eaten the sashimi platter, which was $400 on its own.

A good neighborhood place.....we'll go back.
