在鰂魚涌返工的我中午食飯都有很多選擇。其中至愛既有運永遠人頭湧湧,店面只有十多個座位。所以外賣經常十多人在排隊。今日子竟然只有四、五個人排隊,咁一定要食佢啦!佢既燒味樣樣出式,燒鴨皮脆肉嫩👍燒腩皮香脆,肥瘦適中👍當然仲有我至愛既雙拼肥叉燒油雞飯啦!😋😋😋一定要記得叫肥叉燒,一D都唔肥。應該係梅頭部位,肉質鬆軟,肉味濃郁~冇一般叉燒實實干干的感覺,👍👍油雞嫩滑有雞味👍👍👍

小弟經常會幫親的一間小店, 基本上每樣燒味都好味, 店內只有十幾個位, 當然環境唔係太好, 一般舊式燒味店style. 早午晚都好多人排隊買外賣, 低食又好味. 燒味師傅又好人, 有時都幾風趣添, 所以好多街坊幫親.燒肉的肉質鬆軟. 叉燒唔會肥, 就算叫肥叉都唔會太肥, 同其他燒味檔的半肥廋差不多. 雞鴨類各師傅會去咗D脊骨位, 所以唔會有好多骨位. 仲有分碗或碟上( 的份量唔同), 碗可能女仔較合適 .

今天是端午節,妹妹Jessica說在鰂魚涌街市有一間超多人排隊的燒味店!她說今天晚上我們要加料慶祝,買了半打啤酒後,我們2人馬上到燒味店!真的嚇了一跳,前面竟然有二十多人在排隊,我們祇好跟着龍尾,因為爸爸真的超愛吃燒肉喝青島,排了十分鍾,我終於買了一斤燒肉和叉燒回家加料,才不過一百八十元回家己是七時了,我們打過盒子,爸爸看到燒肉和啤酒,開心到笑,媽媽也讚我們識相,因為明天是父親節l媽媽說飯己燒好了,我們吃了一塊燒肉,果然皮脆肉滑,皮也卜卜脆,燒肉味有些咸,但叉燒肥而多汁,真的很有味,我覺得肥叉燒果然出色,難怪大家也輪候排隊!

媽媽說飯己燒好了,我們吃了一塊燒肉,果然皮脆肉滑,皮也卜卜脆,燒肉味有些咸,但叉燒肥而多汁,真的很有味,我覺得肥叉燒果然出色,難怪大家也輪候排隊!

從不排隊既我,都食到呢間燒味飯,先多謝姐姐如果以鰂魚涌區既尺度黎講呢度既叉燒都算幾鬆化,雖肉汁不覺眼,但起馬唔係硬化既肉雞亦係鬆軟的,帶酒香,但係肉有點兒酸,怪怪地飯就太多水一試無妨,排隊免問

One can easily spent anywhere from $50 to over $100 on lunch around Quarry Bay, yet this chinese BBQ shop offers lunch boxes for under $30! I have passed by this place a few times and most people do take outs as there is limited seating inside the shop. The line moves fairly quickly and service is prompt. You can choose one BBQ item for $27 or two items for $29 plus a carton drink. For my lunch this day, I chose the char siu (BBQ pork) and the soy sauce chicken combo. Char Siu and Soy Sauce Chic

Char Siu and Soy Sauce Chicken ($29) - the portions were generous for the price and definitely filling. The chicken was well marinated as the skin was very tasty and flavorful in sweet soy sauce. The meat were a bit lean and not smooth enough. The ginger and green onion sauce provided was zesty and complimented the chicken very well. The char siu was fatty enough with a nice proportion of fat to meat. It was not as tender or sweet enough for my taste as I usually like my char siu to be glazed with honey. But then again, it was not bad for the price. I saw them pour what I thought was soy sauce over the rice but as I was eating the rice, I didn't taste any sauce in the rice which made it hard to eat as the rice was rough. It must have been some really light sauce that was poured. If they had provided a better sauce for the rice, I would go back in an instant. For now, they remind a cheap lunch option and just that.

十二月中旬‧有雨在附近飯局,行經這裡忽然想試試叉燒。最少要買15元,就以這個最低消費買了大半條,厚切,走汁。味道不太甜,但勝在肉質鬆化,吃起來更有肉味,絕對交足功課。下次要試試其他的燒味選擇。

在附近飯局,行經這裡忽然想試試叉燒。最少要買15元,就以這個最低消費買了大半條,厚切,走汁。

味道不太甜,但勝在肉質鬆化,吃起來更有肉味,絕對交足功課。

而家物價通脹,百物滕貴,要在鰂魚涌這個半商業吃個$30的午餐也不是易事。每次中午經過這間只有幾張枱的燒味店,都見到有一條龍在排外賣。。。。。今次早到見未有很多人,便試它一試!如果是外賣的,$25兩餸送飲品;堂食的也是$25兩餸有例湯,給一杯茶,俾你浸筷子或飲用,算有人情味了!例湯:那天是青紅蘿白豬骨湯,又唔覺有味精喎,飲完沒有特別好口渴,最重要是我見到每位客人的碗中也有豬骨同蘿白的,不是只有水的那種飯:可叫一碗或一碟,同價,女仔一般叫一碗都夠了,沒有浪費餸:我叫了叉雞,叉燒夠林,夠入味,不是”鞋烚烚“的,唔錯,會ENCORE;雞:有時真係講彩數,但今次好好彩給了雞脾的尾段,即有條骨嗰幾舊呢,我感覺到同枱的羡慕眼光呢服務:估唔到又OK喎,不是黑口黑面粗聲粗氣,都幾NICE添,唯有一是只是座位有點迫 3餸好似要$32or34,真係好抵!如再有機會,下次會試乳豬同油雞,因為見到很多食客都叫,好似幾好味咁$25吃一個咁有水準的午餐仲想點,人間有情,大財團的又怎能相比

This Quarry Bay Roast Shop has a queue which is always full,and on a couple of occasions I've wanted to try it, but somehow keep forgetting its Chinese name to check it on Openrice first. The Char Siu has always looked quite appealing and seems cooked and basted well, and this was certainly the case on my visit. The Suckling Pig was crispy but the meat was a bit plain, and quite fatty. Not bad.The Roast Duck here wasn't very good, its dry and pretty gamey. Skin is not crisp.Very good Char Siu

The Char Siu has always looked quite appealing and seems cooked and basted well, and this was certainly the case on my visit.
The Suckling Pig was crispy but the meat was a bit plain, and quite fatty. Not bad.
The Roast Duck here wasn't very good, its dry and pretty gamey. Skin is not crisp.
Very good Char Siu though. Impressed.

公司開業3週年紀年,老細叫買d燒味回來慶祝,同事提議食燒腩,因為呢間燒味店經常都人山海排隊買野,同事亦話不錯,於是提早一日就去落order了,腩骨要$96/1斤非常貴, 手上得$500元 只可買5斤,同個阿叔講明切d靚d呀,仲同佢講笑話唔好呃秤喎,佢拍晒心口話佢地唔做呢d野既,我見佢都是在quarry bay做街坊生意,心想都應該唔會既;第2天按時去取貨,去到已切好晒入左6個盒分開2袋裝,一路行一路想回去秤下佢先(因為覺得唔多覺似有5斤, 本人公司是做食店, 公司有磅同埋我每天都要秤貨, 一拿起上手已覺唔妥), 點知回到公司一落磅, 連埋6個盒同2個膠袋都只有4斤9兩, 真係火都黎埋, $96斤燒腩呃左半斤, 足呎呃左成$50元喎, 打電話去嘈佢, 佢仲大大聲話無呃, 仲大我叫我拿返去比佢秤, 我同事於是同我拿埋6盒燒腩同埋個磅去嘈佢, 一入到去佢間黑店就即話伙計睇錯秤喎, (之前公佈呃秤既燒味店都係咁講)之後仲話比返8兩燒豬骨比我, 話買1斤燒腩係有3兩骨全行都係咁, 唔係話, $96斤燒腩仲要係食燒豬骨, 呢間野真係食人唔"lu"骨就真, 幾經辛苦後再嘈多佢幾嘈, 佢先怕左我在佢間

In terms of dining out, it offers a possibility to whether you may find somewhere good, or have something great -- despite that it's the kitchen staff that does the cooking, whether you're 'in luck' that they are free-of-trouble and execute what you ordered in perfection, depends on many things,

One afternoon my empty stomach led me through some alleys and vendors, passing joints that sell bagels, soup dumplings, and Szechuan vermicelli. I found 有運, one of many quintessential Barbecue-joint in every market that sells Chinese rotisserie/barbecued meats. I could feel my lips widening, showing a mischievous grin as honey-sweet sauce dripped from barbecued pork the same way imaginary drool would drip from my mouth, or anyone who witness that, and the essential crispy cracking the colour of reddish brown. As I witnessed a new tray of barbecued pork being taken out of the kitchen, still hot and syrup-drenched, I felt that sense of luck surging from the pork, reaching me in a form of eye-catching red colour and the matching aroma so complex yet familiar that I walked right in.

I ordered a 叉燒油雞飯 (Rice with Barbecued Pork and Soy-Sauce Chicken, $24). I couldn't imagine having barbecue pork on its own because the soy sauce chicken has this glossy skin on it. The chicken and the barbecued pork, each in one line above soy sauced-rice. The chicken was moist and tender, with a slightly sweet taste to the soy sauce, that matched with the soy sauce for the rice. Rice came in a steaming lump, in a bowl that seemed too large for a single serving for lunch. The BBQ pork, which was the star of the show, was scrumptious with the quintessence of fat clinging between two pieces of meat. The first hit was sweetness from the honey and maltose glaze on the top, followed by the savory meatiness from the pork itself. Those who know me will know my craving for the scallion oil that goes perfectly with chicken. Today, it didn't steal the attention from the BBQ pork at all.

To go with each order of rice dish/bowl you will get a complimentary soup of the day. This day the special was "Chicken feet with peanuts and black-eyed peas". The soup was an unattractive grey colour but the flavours of the legume and the bean were harmoniously robust with the chicken feet in it. (From the picture it actually looked like some imaginary chicken ready to crawl out of the soup!) Perhaps not for anyone who have not availed themselves into devouring chicken feets, breaking them down to bony bits of toes, but thanks to my family's "training" since I was a kid, I was lucky to "master the skill"


I felt more than fulfilled as I finished the last bit of rice and soup, considering all the neighborhood barbecue joints that open in every single markets -- big and small. I couldn't feel more lucky that the one close to home is one that has been great and generous. After considerable number of bad lunches and saved by the very simple barbecued pork and rice, I was determined that it was luck that found me when I turned my head in the streetcorner and saw the rotisserie meats coming out. It may have little to do with me, and much more, from fate.

自己真是幾年未試過獨自吃燒味飯盒,對上兩個星期一,因為是公眾假期關係,仍然要上班的我女常到公司樓下附近買飯,可是悉數食店全部關門放假,害我要行至近太古坊那邊才找得著,最後在一間人頭湧湧的燒味飯店,買了一盒叉燒飯,盛惠 $20。回到公司打開飯盒,叉燒燒得唔錯,色澤呈深紅,邊波位還帶少少燶,肉汁不算四溢,但卻沒有柴乾。不過,淋上去的汁就有少許怪味,早知叫佢俾包薑蔥油我好過。
