問佢宋嫂魚羹幾大碗?唔答亦唔形容,好似啞咁.之後老公問佢係咪好似湯麵咁大碗,佢答係.

又問佢咩係木須肉,唔答,我睇日文就估到,之後佢至講肉絲.

Under the typhoon signal T8, apart from cha chaan ting and fast food shops were opened, light from this local Shanghai food restaurant still on which I immediately went in to fill up my tummy.Staff welcomed warmly with big smile. Apart from soy milk was unavailable, food was all available. Restaurant was busy, such a contrast from the empty quiet street. We ordered dumplings noodle in soup and Sichuan dan dan noodle with the sides of five spice beef shrank and pickled eggplant from the afternoon

Staff welcomed warmly with big smile. Apart from soy milk was unavailable, food was all available. Restaurant was busy, such a contrast from the empty quiet street.

We ordered dumplings noodle in soup and Sichuan dan dan noodle with the sides of five spice beef shrank and pickled eggplant from the afternoon tea set menu.

Four big dumplings were served. Meaty with a hint of chives flavour. Stuffing was cooked just right that minced was kept its moisture. Wrapper was thin and smooth. Noodle was in a pretty big portion. Cooked perfectly. Not too soft nor tough. Nice to have some chives garnished which gave a hint of freshness.

Dandan noodle was extremely flavourful. A well mix of noodle and broth was a must because the peanut butter paste was at the bottom. Broth was spiced with a heat combining with the nuttiness and crunchiness from the peanut sauce, it contained mega flavour. Noodle was different from the dumpling noodle. It was on a tougher side, still absolutely delicious.

Pickled eggplant was soft and juicy. Very garlicky and well coated with sauce. Spice beef shrank was thin but on a tough side. Flavourful and beefy.

Overall, it was satiating to enjoy goodnesses in a good deal under the storm.

I was missing this Shanghai cute restaurant quite some time, feeling like tonight is the time. Restaurant wasn't big, managed to get a seat before the crowds. Despite seatings were quite packed, all I focus was their variety menu. They served dim sum, shanghai stir fry dishes, stir fry noodles/rice cakes, noodles and cold dishes. I was missing this Shanghai cute restaurant quite some time, feeling like tonight is the time.

Restaurant wasn't big, managed to get a seat before the crowds. Despite seatings were quite packed, all I focus was their variety menu. They served dim sum, shanghai stir fry dishes, stir fry noodles/rice cakes, noodles and cold dishes. Literally a commercial restaurant options of food.

We ordered their Stew minced meat balls in brown sauce, Scallion pancakes, Veggies dumplings with dan dan noodle and Vermicelli with spicy minced pork.

Food didn't take long. First came was the scallion pancakes. We didn't go straight in as you could feel the heat by it just sitting on the table. Veggie dumplings with dan dan noodle came next. Staff friendly recommended us to stir before consumption as peanut butter sauce was at the bottom. It was steamy hot. Dumplings were homemade with loaded veggies stuffed. Crunchy, earthy and freshness. It all came from just one dumpling. Wrapper wasn't the thin type but not too thick. Noodle was soft and al dante. Noodle was coated well with the sauce. Soup was spicy, savoury and nutty. Not too thick and not too oily. Everything was balanced just right. Good job.

Scallion pancakes was flakey and flavourful. You could taste an intense scallion flavour while the crunchiness remains. Pastry wasn't too doughy, coating the scallions just right. Crispy and delicious. The only flaw was the scallion wasn't fully coated the whole pancake, the folding part of the pancakes had missing scallion. No worries, it's only a minor mistake, the flavour killed it.

I believe the stew minced meat balls in brown sauce was quite a famous dish here. Almost every table ordered that. There were two enormous meat balls serving with some vegetables, mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Meat balls was soft and juicy. It had a strong pork flavour and very meaty. Personally I found the pork taste was a bit too strong for me while my friend loved it. Vegetables were soft and coated with the sauce well. Not bad.

Vermicelli with spicy minced pork was one of the stars of tonight. It wasn't saucey nor oily. Vermicelli was very delicious. It was savoury with a hint of spiciness. They gave a generous amount of of minced. It was just a perfect dish and the portion size was pretty big.

Being a red bean lover, even my stomach was stuffed, I still ordered their red bean paste crepe. It was absolutely amazing! Golden crispy pastry stuffed with thick red bean paste. You could literally see the oozing red bean paste, it wasn't a thin paste but a thick one! Corners usually thick and tough but this pastry corner was crunchy and buttery that it made you fell in love to fight for all corners. It was a dessert that never enough!

Staff were friendly and helpful! Friendly explaining their dishes and efficiently making orders. Always aware if customers running out of water and helped refilling.

It was a remarkable dining experience that I will definitely come back and highly recommend. I still have so many more to try on.

北角這間地道上海萊,幾十年老字號,上海老師傅,樸實無華,不賣弄花巧,簡簡單單煮出老上海的味道。回味無窮!日本雜誌也曾介紹過,店舖雖少名氣卻不少,所以不時有日本人光臨。必點招牌菜~回鍋肉菜飯$52,五花肉肥瘦相間,還有豆乾和椰菜,以自家製醬料爆炒,香、甜、辣,層次感豐滿、非常惹味,配以青椒和紅椒,簡直是色香味俱全。天氣熱,點了個冷盤~五香牛展$62,牛展鹹香,牛肉味非常香濃,風味十足。🍜雪菜肉絲湯麵~$47,煸炒過的肥肉絲炸出肉香,再加上荀絲和雪裡蕻拌勻,清香而不油膩,平日是用白麵條,老闆說是由於今天供貨延誤了,唯有黃麵頂上。有點失望,因為我人比較喜歡上海麵(白麵條),因為口感更彈牙更紮實點。上海雲吞湯麵🍜~$47,大大粒雲吞灑上蔥花,配蛋麵,味道不過不失。上海生煎鍋貼(四隻)~$46,皮比較厚實,餡料肉質還可以。

晚飯時間,不太餓,吃粉麵最好,這裡人多,應該可取。還好有位,坐下點了碗上海湯麵,安靜等餐。這裡店面較小,坐得相當擠迫,顧客都斯文安靜地進餐,應該都是附近的住客。湯麵上桌,很大一碗,有肉絲,冬菇和椰菜,味道不錯,今天選對了。

公平啲講,個獅子頭一舊係因為客飯黎,但一舊份量會唔會太少?菜飯。。。感覺係隔夜濕飯+菜碎。似食緊冷飯一樣,完全無菜飯既香。賣50幾蚊!

另一碟魚賣108蚊,條魚感覺散收收,友人還好奇廚師點樣可以把兩條魚完美咁上碟?!兩條魚溶溶爛爛!

最後一碟鱔糊,芽菜多過魚好多。。。多。大佬你收人80幾90蚊一碟係咪做生意要有啲良心呢?

總結:比得依個價依個份量,我去食其他好過!幾百蚊落樓仲要收現金only,係咪有啲無良呢?

I tried this Sichuan Dan Dan Noodle, as per the restaurant staff’s recommendation, together with Pickled Eggplant. It tastes good at reasonable price. I was advised it might be very spicy but was not really spicy and was mild for me. I recommend you try.I would like to go there agin and try the other dishes as well.

今日同媽咪喺附近新光戲院睇表演,行行吓搵嘢食,經過望到呢一間應該係老字號,六點左右入到去,都有兩枱人⋯⋯呢個時間我哋唔係太肚餓所以就叫咗上海粗炒及小籠包,加埋係$100上海中產賣上唔錯,係油咗少少,面身好煙韌,好彩叫咗一碟,因為都好飽小籠包非常好食,因為佢個皮好薄身,老字號真係老字號,所以啲夥計都上咗年紀,有啲性格整體都不過不失,好過好多上海鋪

肉絲炒年糕 $56唔錯,份量都好多,仲好惹味,不過重口味小小,食落都有啲口渴。干煸四季豆 $66四季豆冇咩特別,有小小屋企嘅味道,唔會煮到好硬身。宮保雞丁 $79辣辣地,幾惹味,不過都係鹹左小小,不過配飯真係一流。怕辣嘅都唔洗特別抗拒,因為都係小小辣,唔係辣到出曬汗果款,吊下味,送下飯幾好。排骨擔擔麵 $60排骨好有驚喜,擔擔麵都好出色,好食到飛起,價錢仲唔算貴。Overall黎講,CP值都唔錯,上海菜真係食得好開心,不過坐位就迫小小,同埋都好多人等位,不過值得等嘅,又或者可以外賣,外賣自取聽聞仲有9折。

辣辣地,幾惹味,不過都係鹹左小小,不過配飯真係一流。怕辣嘅都唔洗特別抗拒,因為都係小小辣,唔係辣到出曬汗果款,吊下味,送下飯幾好。

排骨擔擔麵 $60
排骨好有驚喜,擔擔麵都好出色,好食到飛起,價錢仲唔算貴。

Overall黎講,CP值都唔錯,上海菜真係食得好開心,不過坐位就迫小小,同埋都好多人等位,不過值得等嘅,又或者可以外賣,外賣自取聽聞仲有9折。

佢地既紅油抄手係好食既,但今晚去食見到個侍應耳仔應好癢,睇住佢係櫃桶拎支棉花棒喺咁撩耳仔,隻手又掂棉花棒,跟手又用果隻手傳菜,其實佢地係有帶手套,但係喺保護佢對手多過食客囉,就算唔係疫情都唔應該喺客前撩囉,好唔衛生。

現在香港做上海菜的傳統店子已不多了,換來的是集團式經的。今天途經北角濰京坊這小店,不得不買下兩個外賣飯盒回家享用。~蔥爆牛肉這個午餐菜飯可選擇配例湯或豆漿,我選了後者。蔥爆牛肉非常惹味,但又不會過濃。牛肉醃得淋滑,一點也不韌。最愛是炒牛肉的大蔥白,吸收了肉和汁醬的精華,非常好味!菜飯一點也不油膩,雖然菜的份量不算多,但配蔥爆牛肉來吃是最好不過。~炸排骨菜飯這個是在餐牌上點的,所以並沒有飲品或湯送。炸排骨一大片,炸得金黄色,應該是沒有添加鬆肉粉的,吃出家庭式的出品。炸排骨菜吃起來平較乾,若能配上熱湯一個會較理想。不然的話炸排骨配上海湯麵就更恰當!

~蔥爆牛肉
這個午餐菜飯可選擇配例湯或豆漿,我選了後者。
蔥爆牛肉非常惹味,但又不會過濃。牛肉醃得淋滑,一點也不韌。最愛是炒牛肉的大蔥白,吸收了肉和汁醬的精華,非常好味!
菜飯一點也不油膩,雖然菜的份量不算多,但配蔥爆牛肉來吃是最好不過。

這個是在餐牌上點的,所以並沒有飲品或湯送。
炸排骨一大片,炸得金黄色,應該是沒有添加鬆肉粉的,吃出家庭式的出品。
炸排骨菜吃起來平較乾,若能配上熱湯一個會較理想。不然的話炸排骨配上海湯麵就更恰當!
