公司食飯去左呢間新私房菜餐廳,因為要預約,所以到左基本上唔需要等就可以食。食左好多唔同野,頭盤有D冷盤,個醉豬手好好食,主菜有蝦炒蛋﹑鮑魚﹑蒸魚同元貝﹑黃酒雞﹑菜,不過當中我最最曼印象深刻就係黃酒雞,呢個外面好少見到的餸,煮得好入味,我忍唔住打包在個底汁走。到後來D蒸飯已經食唔落,最後個炒菜真係食到好鮮的味道。不過個糖水好正,用另一個肚食左2碗。其實咁樣食一餐真係唔平,不過同外面有D餐廳唔同,食完唔會覺得好嬲。因為比左呢個價都真係有食返呢個價的材料,雖然貴但都係自己食返落肚。不得不提范太的湯真係好好飲,真材實料冇味精,飲完覺得好有營養。

預先以whatsapp預約餐廳用膳,打算於四月十九日晚上與家人慶祝生日。當晚滂沱大雨,帶同兩老到達范湯皇門口,店舖燈火卻沒有亮起半點。致電店舖老闆手提號碼查問,老闆卻說餐廳今天休息,他們搞錯預約了。一行六人在餐廳門口狼狽非常,慶生的興致也毀了一半。餐廳犯下這種低級錯誤,讓人質疑其經營能力。

雖說係家庭小菜,但一啲都唔簡單,食得出新鮮靚料,用心烹調,真好味!我哋未齊人,先上小食,食住等。人齊後,主菜一碟一碟上,比時間大家慢慢食。我就特別鐘意以下幾味。黃酒雞:香、滑、甜,連薑粒都好味,全部配料都清晒。蕃茄魚湯:鮮、濃、正正正。蝦仁炒蛋:用大鮮蝦,蛋超滑,送飯一流。蒸魚:似普通嘢,但暗藏靚咸魚一舊仔,連薑絲都食得出係正嘢。菜心:又似係好普通嘅炒菜,但嫰嫰嫰。最後不得不提,茶也特別用心。環境舒適,服務周到,$300一位,無其他任何雜項收費,不貴。

而我則情傾香煎連鱗黃腳鱲,我也試過以此煮三泥魚按此回顧,原來換上黃腳鱲更加鮮味,魚鱗脆如薯片但魚肉仍能保持滑溜難在於此啊!!

甜品是杞子開邊綠豆糖水,試了一口清甜不做作!這夜的豐富晚餐收費$300/位,范太的菜實在份量很足所以大家也吃得非常滿足!她還經常貼心的問夠吃否生怕餓親我們呢!

We arrived 5 minutes early expecting the restaurant to be pack and we were not wrong, Every table was taken apart from one right next to the kitchen & bar which we were quickly seated at. The restaurant had only open for 2 days before, therefore operationally, they are still adjusting and learning each night. We were not given a menu, instead, the kind couple beside us told us that it was a sort of omakase experience. Mrs. Fan, the owner, and chef of the restaurant source her ingredients fresh daily from local wet markets dotted around Hong Kong so each day you could be eating something different depending on what was fresh and best in season. Starters of cold pickled white turnip and sweet and sour wheat gluten were brought out quickly, followed by a hot double-stewed home cooked soup with only the best ingredients (you could taste the love put into making the soup - so delicious and heartwarming).

The main dishes arrived shortly after we had finished our soup and starters, what we noticed was there's not the usual rush and urgency like when eating in a lot of restaurants in Hong Kong. This place is more about the experience, rather than how many rounds of customers they can fit in one night. Dishes came out bit by bit so we started with the scrambled eggs with king prawn and the steamed meat load with squid. Both dishes were cooked to prefection and tasted just like how mum would make it (the scrambled eggs had little pieces of garlic which we thought was slightly different but still added an extra depth of flavour to the traditional dish) (the meatloaf was perfectly flavoured and complimented with boiled rice)

After almost finishing the first two dishes we were presented with a further three. Two of which where fish and a one plate of healthy local wok cooked vegetables. The first fish plate which arrived was steamed Harpadon Nehereus (Bombay Ducks) which came on a bed of glass noodles and spring onions. The fish was just perfect so the texture of the meat was smooth and soft which went well with the glass noodles and rice (although the soy sauce might have been a little over salty for us however the boiled rice would balance the flavour). The pan-fried Chinese fish was to die for. Any good chef knows that pan frying fish is not an easy task, however, this has to be one of the best I've had. Lastly, a plate of hot steaming vegetables to finish it off (this was a lot of food, probably enough for 3 people however we were told that the steamed fish was an extra dish given to us by the owner).

By the time we had almost completed our main courses, the owner Mrs. Fan came out of the kitchen behind us and asked how the food was and what we thought of the place. Little did we expect that we would be having a whole discussion on food, family and the reason behind her ideas of this place. We were touched by the warm and generosity of her idea of bringing the best-tasting home cooked dinners to the people of Hong Kong and we could taste the love of cooking from each of her dishes.

Visit this restaurant not only for the great tasting food and the comfort of a relaxed and friendly environment. It is also about that feeling you get, bringing back memories of loved ones and the people that matter to you the most, our family. We were touched by Mrs. Fan and we most definitely will be back again soon for another surprise dinner. We simply can't wait. Thank you.

題外話/補充資料: Advance booking is required as the restaurant sits around 30 people max. Mrs Fan usually takes bookings by phone or WhatsApp. There is no menu, therefore, ask if you have dietary requirements. Price of dinner ranges depending on what is on the menu so ask for more details.
