The food is coming from Laos. Food is delicious and very fresh. coffee is very tasty. Today I eat a bowl of seafood noodle, the soup very strong but not salty! a smaller cup of coffee is just 20 hkd which is tasty than the chain store coffee !

fairly decent food court noodles

Post night shift and it was so hot outside. So, I ducked in here for some food court food. I noticed this was new so gave it a try.Bolaven Lao Whole Foods is located inside the CitySuper food court. Originally, there was location in Tai Koo Shing's Aeon store but that closed after a while. Now, their new location is here.Menu is in English and Chinese with their food on display. You can pay with an Octopus card at their counter or if you opt for other payment options, you have to go to the main

Post night shift and it was so hot outside. So, I ducked in here for some food court food. I noticed this was new so gave it a try.

Bolaven Lao Whole Foods is located inside the CitySuper food court. Originally, there was location in Tai Koo Shing's Aeon store but that closed after a while. Now, their new location is here.

Menu is in English and Chinese with their food on display. You can pay with an Octopus card at their counter or if you opt for other payment options, you have to go to the main CitySuper food court cashier. A pager is given and you wait for it to ring when your meal is ready.

As I was here during afternoon tea session, a free drink was provided. Everything could be chosen except for the smoothies.
Originally, I wanted lemongrass chicken wings with cold noodles but they informed they had run out of the cold noodldes. I guess with the 34C weather outside, everyone was eating cold noodles. They did offer to make it into pho for me but I wasn't too keen on that. So, I chose the vermicelli with Vietnamese sausage in tomato broth ($45).

The drink I chose was  calmansi soda. it was alright. A bit of bubbles with a strong calmansi flavor. Refreshing on this hot day.

 The portion size wasn't very big but oddly filling. The broth was a strong tomato taste with a bit of chilli and spices that made it more than just a tomato soup. There was sprinkles of mung beans throughout.

 Glass vermicelli was used so it maintained it's chewiness.

 For food court, not too bad. Service was friendly and eager to explain what they served. A far cry from the other counters at CitySuper who don't really care if you ordered or not. They informed me they have no MSG. I don't know about that and will just accept that to be true. I will be back.

Strong beefy pho broth

Bolaven is not a new brand, they used to be in WanChai and Tai Koo.Now they are at the city'super foodcourt.To be honest, I havent been here for a while since my favourite pasta and hotdog joint closed, so much has changed.This was one of new shops so I decided to try it because I haven't tried their noodles.Got the Pho Vientiane with the strawberry basil slush. Coffee lovers should order coffee because they are famous for coffee.I liked the noodles because the broth was really strong and they h

 I liked the noodles because the broth was really strong and they had home grown sprouts on the noodles.

 The strawberry and basil cooled me down nicely and it wasn't too sweet with a prominent basil taste as well as blended strawberries.
