母親節一行10個人去咗呢間gough 40.點咗以下:湯: Clam in fish broth係清湯,飲到一陣魚味. 但冇硯味. 偏甜,要自己加鹽,否則味有d怪. 硯只係烚好之後放落d湯度,所以唔韌,亦因為咁d湯冇硯味.前菜1)Spanish Ham with Salad and fresh fruitsSpanish Ham幾好味,不太鹹,有肉香. fresh fruits係蜜瓜. 母親節一行10個人去咗呢間gough 40.點咗以下:

Maincourse:

(1) linguine in Crab Source
Source非常非常之濃味,話有蟹膏加落去.但由於味太濃,唔多感受到d蟹膏ge原味.連碟有兩隻蟹腳,花咗好大力氣先至食到d肉.蟹肉冇乜鮮甜味,巳經預咗急涷蟹鮮味流失.

(2) US Prime Rib Eye in Port Source ($720 二人份)

我非常喜歡食牛扒,食親西餐一定叫佢d扒嚟試吓.今次個扒我估一人份約6-8安士.肉質都算軟,有d肉味但肉味唔太濃.個人覺得以$360一人份價錢計唔够好肉味,唔太值.如果$200我就會覺得ok.

Port source非常非常之鹹.一d都引唔出/親托唔起d肉味.冇汁可能仲好過有汁.d汁完全破壞咗碟扒.我只能話成碟嘢味道好Dull.

(3) salmon (约$280)
三文魚屋企人話非常非常之唔新鮮,有d腥

(4) Duck Breast (约$280)
鴨胸冇鴨味.d汁又係引唔出/親托唔起肉味.唔好食.老板娘話鴨胸來自法國,都冇乜特别啫.

(5) roast chicken (约$280)
老板娘話係佢哋招牌菜.咁應該好掂嘞啩?一攞出呢,見到隻雞乾爭爭,已經心知不妙,好彩唔係我食.食呢味ge屋企人話靱到死,十分之難咬(由19歲到80歲ge屋企人都咁投訴).我阿公以前開餐廳,忍唔著問老板娘呢d係咩品種ge雞,老板娘話本地雞,係咁口感.我阿公就同老板娘講本地雞係好品種,d肉應該軟身,可能係煮得唔好.

另要咗4杯紅酒,都唔記得咩名堂嘞.初飲ok,有酒香,不太重酒精.我多手,係咁搖呀搖,搖呀搖,搖咗十幾廿個圏,酒味走晒,當堂嚇親快d飲晒佢.

總括而言,呢間嘢唔駛煮ge嘢,好似前菜咁係ok ge.但一到要煮ge 就真係麻麻哋.若果佢定價$100-200之間,我會算佢合格.但佢定價係$300-400之間,我覺得有好多其他好d ge
地方可以選擇law.

大家睇完阿蘇後,對Gough 40都有興趣。午餐的頭盤三揀一、主菜五揀一,奉送餐飲,甜品另需加錢。我要的頭盤是蘑菇酥盒配少許沙津菜,我覺得酥盒似是來貨,是冷藏再翻焗那種。而有同事食凱撒沙律,更為普通。我們8人中有6人的主菜是牛扒,包括我。落單前沒有詢問我們要幾多成熟,出來效果看似是過熟,幸好一切開是血紅色的,但肉質極之韌,每人都出盡力去切,亦出盡牙力來咬開。有人食了一半已放棄,也包括我。另有的食咖哩雞飯,味道好香,不過同事的評價是雞肉又又實;而羊鞍可能是全最好的一碟。朱古力餅及apple crumble各兩客。大家被主菜嚇怕的關係,對甜品不抱太高期望,又出乎意料的好,朱古力餅味道香濃,黑朱古力香而不甜,配以雪榚更為美味;apple crumble是剛剛焗起,又熱又金黃,牛油批皮極為鬆化,由於肉桂味不太重,對於我不嗜肉桂的人,可以接受。試過同一街的幾間西餐廳,大家的特色是裝修環境舒服、其味道也是不外如是,午餐似快餐店機械式出品,沒有一間突出。如果一定在歌賦街選擇,我寧願去勝香園。

與兩位美豔而又有水準的大學生吃午飯固然要找一個襯得起她們的地點銀杏館長期也訂不到隔壁的看來也弱不了多少再遲一點到也沒有位了俊男店員提著大大的黑板介紹菜式很和善很有禮貌頭盤是芒果燒牛肉沙律一碟滿滿的中規中距沒有大差池主菜有鴨胸和虎蝦linguine虎蝦不算虎大概是中蝦大一點麵條還是可以的鴨胸反為好一點煎得很香很吸引舒適的環境加上門外踢毽的叔叔們很不中環的感覺不過中產的環境得配中產的價錢不算很超值的一餐但一試還是值得忽爾想起當日有人也提議要說英文?的確是浸過半年咸水的大學生啊..

之前路過呢間餐廳幾次,今日同兩個同事去食lunch:pumpkin and chestnut coup: 一般,只有南瓜味Roast Lamb Shank: 分量不多,味道相當不錯Grilled Steak: okRoast Duck Breast: okApple Crumble: very goodWarm Chocolate Cake: so-so我地坐室內,油煙比較多。另外d食物味道雖然不錯,但三款用同一個SAUCE,廚師有點懶惰bor~

不明白為何要花$78到這一間環境不舒服、服務不周、味道無特別的餐廳吃午餐,肉腸+ 意粉(就真的只有條腸和一堆無味意粉,配菜都冇...), 意粉根本冇任何味道... 還竟敢標榜意粉為賣點...重點是飲品:凍咖啡...味道是茶餐廳普遍存在的那一陣酸味... 酸的咖啡都夠膽serve畀人...根本不professional, 午餐menu 千年不變...午餐都未食完,在我們隔壁枱就想開始小型維修工程...使唔使咁趕時間呀?評語一個字: 差

We reserved the table in advance and told the guy that we have children and want and indoor table. When we arrived at the restaurant, the guy just told us they have been overbooked and we have to take the outdoor table or nothing. But there were at least half of the indoor tables empty and the explained that they were reserved for \'Other customers\'. The guy was rude and unapologetic and put the responsibility of their mistake on the us, which are their customer. We swear we will NEVER go t

Was asked by my friends to "Gough 40", after a recent TVB show on the developments on Gough Street. Have been to the restaurant previously for lunch, whereby price and food value is reasonable, considering Central / Sheung Wan location.

However, this Saturday's dinner was DISASTROUS.

Although the open area seating is pleasant whereby the whole side opens up for al fresco style dinning, but am not sure if the tables at the front are legally approved.

The menu is QUITE BASIC already (less than 10 main courses), and when my friend and I ordered the duck breast (~HK$240) and the angel hair pasta with Japanese mushrooms and uni (sea urchin) (~HK$220). The waitress came back after 15 minutes informing that the duck breast is sold out, and uni is not available as it is not in season.

We kindly asked the waitress what is available then, and she "rudely" snapped back that "Everything Is".

She was not courteous and was simply not helpful, as (1) the restaurant could have informed at the beginning that the uni pasta is not available, as they should know about it already - unprofessional; (2) when 2 out of 10 main courses are not available, can the restaurant simplt recommend something - staff not helpful or willing to help.

We then ordered the veal (~HK$240) and mushroom with angle hair (~HK$200), and ridiculously enough, a male waiter (n.b. not the waitress, as she is too ashamed and never came by to our table again) approached and informed that the veal is sold out also. 30% of menu NOT available!

The pasta which came eventually was not exceptional, although the texture is decent, the usage of olive oil did not bring out the taste of the mushrooms.

In summary, a POOR dinning experience.

Service - POOR
Décor - Good

For the price above, numerous options in town are available (e.g. Cenacolo or Al Dente in Soho, Sabatini in TST, Mistral in TST North).

環境, 其實係唔可以食落肚的......gough 40係比較貴而唔算太好食..... 試過set lunch中的牛扒、鴨胸同咖喱雞都好普通, 可能真係如某些介紹所言, 最出色的可能係意粉...... 甜品還算可以吧。不過環境真係唔錯, 好悠閒, 再加上有人表演踢毽, 搞到我都想踢埋一份......

情人節再去Gough 40,食完有D 唔開心。1. 等候時間太耐太耐:七點到達,只來了三檯賓客。因女友「眼訓」,叫他速速上菜,結果搞到九點半,茶都冇飲,閃。2. 舊Wagu Beef 好靚,牛味十足但小弟只分到個邊,即是「膏+ 根」,女友則大大舊肉。其他食物依然出色,龍蝦刺身沙律、海膽鵝肝、龍蝦湯。不過俾成千蚊位剩係分到條邊,條氣唔係好順。

Food's OK, and about $120 per head for lunch isn't bad for Central. But we ordered pumpkin soup, and it was extremely diluted. Service sucked also, when my friend asked for additional grated cheese, one of the servers (may be even the owner) said "No Way" (in Chinese)! We were so shocked.

Always go to this little restaurant for dinner and I really love their linguine. Indeed, I have tried all their linguine dishes (even those not in the menu) and they are all superb!!! It is just hard to say which one I like most.If you are looking for something spicy, you should go for the linguine with lobster or the linguine with seafood. The linguine with crab is also a great choice but it is not in the menu and has to be ordered in advance. On the other hand, if you are looking for someth

Always go to this little restaurant for dinner and I really love their linguine. Indeed, I have tried all their linguine dishes (even those not in the menu) and they are all superb!!! It is just hard to say which one I like most.

If you are looking for something spicy, you should go for the linguine with lobster or the linguine with seafood. I went there to have Crab liguine which is not in the menu on the first time i visited. It's soooo delicious and I start to visit Gough40 a lot afterwards. I tried both steak and liguine (all dinner time) and steak is so-so but the liguine is so outstanding! I like the lobster liguine more than the crab liguine. I like the clam soup also! Hmm... the restaurant is quite small, but i like their food. It's different.
