I went to Mexus in a big group - so I got to try a bit of everything, though unfortunately did not take pictures of all the food. The chips and guac were on a good start already. The skewers were not bad too we got all three chicken veggie and beef. a 3/5 for this round. It is the tacos that are extremely good in this place, especially the pork carnitas. It is the tacos that are extremely good in this place, especially the pork carnitas. Melt in your mouth good. Though I am not a fan of deep fried fish on tacos - the flavors here are good for whoever does like them. The veggie tacos aren't great though - there's a sunny side egg in there which is firstly very messy and secondly not really 'vegetarian' for a lot of vegetarians. 4/5 for tacos overall.
For pastas I tried the mac and cheese and 'odessa' pasta - i recommend the mac and cheese it was so good and loved their twist by adding truffle and sausages in it - it made it really special. We also had this mushroom pizza that was yummy. At this point we were already stuffed but I also got to try the jerk chicken and ribs - jerk chicken was so good and ribs were not bad. 4/5 for mains.
Then it was time for dessert, I would say it's nothing special. I had high hopes for the tres leches cake but it was just so-so. The best dessert of the lot was the trump mess cheesecake with oreos. Absolutely delicious. Not impressed with the ban-amisu and the chocolate cookie skillet, or churros which is done better in other restaurants.
Our bill was pretty high about $700pp - we were all pretty stuffed and had drinks - though I think Mexican/American food in general should be inexpensive. Tacos + 10% service charge is over $60 each - while this may be a standard in other I personally believe it should cost less. So was a bit sour on the price at the end.
