Nice venue for a quiet Saturday night dinner in the bustling center of causeway bay. Food was great - we had the Beef Lasagne and the Heirloom Cherry Tomato and Asparagus Risotto. Service was polite and attentive. What was very disappointing was the restrictions on promotions they signed themselves up for.
Firstly, the entertainer voucher can only be used for main courses on their menu. Fair enough as that is the case for most restaurants under the entertainer. However, they restricted us from using the voucher for pasta dishes. Apparently, pasta is not a main course in an Italian Restaurant. I have not come in contact with any restaurant on the entertainer to restrict use in this way. I think Shelter should rethink their policy on this one. Secondly, even though we were dining during happy hour, we were not allowed to take advantage of the promotion because we were seated. In order to take advantage of it, we would need to stand at the bar. Honestly, with so many restrictions on their so- called promotions, they might as well not have them, as having them would annoy their customers more. Annoy them enough to talk about it on openrice at the very least.
