I went to the Kitchen earlier this month, and have been several times since late last year (2013) and have found it to be WONDERFUL. Reading previous reviews i'd like to say to first-timers and previous patrons alike - Please don't be deterred by the negative reviews. The Kitchen's management has changed hands very recently (I admit, about a year ago I went and it wasn't all that great) but it has done a complete 360 turnaround and is honestly delightful now. I'm an avid pizza lover and there are a few places in Mui Wo to choose from when in need of a pizza fix, but i'd say the Kitchens is by far the best.
My personal favorite is the Pepperoni, though I have also tried the Parma Ham, and the Spicy Bolognese - all very generously topped and equally delicious. My preference in crust was always moderate-thick, but after having their thin-crusted variety i'd say i've found my taste has changed.
My dining partner ordered their Spicy Arribiata pasta the last time I dined there (they make the pasta themselves!) with bacon, and that too was extremely tasty - an awesome kick to it!
Our waiting time for food was 10-15 minutes, much improved since I was there a year ago.
The service is good, they have a much smaller staff base now, and they are lovely. The interior make-over in and of itself gives it a completely different feel - very zen, relaxing.
The location isn't ideal, but the food and nice vibe inside more than make up for it in my opinion.
If you've had a bad experience here in the past, I can say with full faith that you won't be disappointed if you choose to go back and let them change your minds.
