Utsav Indian Food (已結業)

我們於1/3/2021（一）中午約1點到達餐，內裡位置較迫，亦有不少印度🇮🇳/南亞裔人士。我和友人叫了2個套餐：Mixed Veg curry和 egg curry，可選Naan/飯，飲品有Rose tea/lemon tea/ coke。Mixed Veg curry（$60）：其實是三色雜豆，味道較辣及濃烈。Egg curry（$65）：有2隻雞蛋，味道較溫和，但也是辣Naan其實是一大塊，但切開了4份，熱吃較佳，亦有2塊脆片，味道不錯。我喝的是Rose tea，好有玫瑰味，冰冰的，十分解喝。餐廳亦附上湯，應該是pea soup，味道清淡。餐廳上菜速度比較慢，當時只有一個waiter，約半小時才能吃到正餐，故吃得較趕急。總括來說，這是我們第一次在香港吃印度菜，用英文叫菜，也是一次特別的體驗。

If you're looking to get your carb on on a budget then Utsav is your place for lunch. I've been to many a different curry houses in Wan Chai and both Jojo and Himalaya are excellent for their lunch buffet - but it's way too much. Sometimes you only need one plate but you end up eating 2 or 3 because you've paid a decent amount for the buffet. This is where Utsav comes into place. Yes it's not a fancy establishment like Jojos but the flavour is in the curry. Lunch sets start from HK55 to HK70. So

Utsav is a wonderful Indian restaurant. It's hidden away but surprisingly good. Certainly worth a visit l - just make sure you order their poori speciality...it's yum!

Great service, great flavours. I’m convinced they use more spices and ingredients than other restaurants - the difference in flavour is huge! Big portions (warning!). You won’t be disappointed. Always a fantastic meal. I brought my curry buddies - all grudgingly agreed it’s the best in HK! Place to go for a casual meal, not trying to be something it’s not. Kingfisher beer a plus.

This is a good, cheap Indian restaurant that’s hidden on the 2nd floor of Amoy street. I’ve had both lunch & dinner here and each time I went, the place was almost empty. It’s a shame cause the food is really good, particularly the curry, vegetable, chicken tikka and tandoori dishes. The price point is cheaper than Himalaya (another favorite spot of mine) and food just as good, if not better. The service is also good, and ironically there’s no service charge. I always leave a tip above 10%

我哋兩條友喺灣仔氹下氹下忽然間想食印度嘢,碌下openrice就揾咗呢間餐廳.本來見冇乜人寫食評,都冇乜太大期望,結果竟然喜出望外!我哋1pm度去到,老細兼樓面叔叔好friendly咁招呼我哋坐靠窗嘅梳化位.雖然舖仔細細,但係坐得幾舒服,又好乾淨企理(<-我呢個死潔癖即刻喺心入面畀個like LOL).  我哋叫咗個咖哩角(3隻), 雞豆masala,秋葵masala, naan同埋aloo paratha(薯仔烤餅). 咖哩角熱辣辣新鮮炸出嚟,外面鬆脆,入面啲薯仔豆蓉好香香料味,點埋個chutney(沾醬,一個係羅望子醬,甜甜酸酸;一個係青醬,小小酸辣),食落惹味又唔膩.仲有佢個咖哩角比起其他印度餐廳大少少,幾抵食!雞豆masala同秋葵masala各有各精彩.雞豆masala個汁好香濃,啲豆煮得洽到好處,軟得嚟又唔會太爛,非常入味;秋葵masala就有落埋蕃茄一齊煮,香辣得嚟又有啲蕃茄嘅酸甜balance番,味道有層次! 食印度嘢又點少得naan同paratha!佢個naan整得好鬆軟,個底金黃色脆脆哋(我個人唔太鍾意啲烤到燶晒嘅naan),咬落有彈性唔會"削",正!!!成

Probably the best Indian food I’ve ever tried in Hong Kong. As the other said, it is hard for a second floor restaurant to survive in Hong Kong and when I visited there I was the only non-Indian customer. But the food really deserves a try.especially recommend chicken masala and butter nun.

Good food and nice owners deserve your visit. Great Indian food with reasonable price & convenient location! Chef is an Indian. Go and support! 😋😋P.S. It's even harder for a 2nd floor restaurant to survive. They work hard for paying rent 🙈

Been there for lunch and had the fish masala lunch set. Food was really nice, portion was good enough and price was really honest. People running this place are friendly and kind. Definitely will visit this place again.Both times I have been there, I noticed that most of the customers are Indians, this can only be a good thing since the people that know more about Indian food trust this place.
