One may wonder what is Korean American food? Popularly found in food trucks in the US, it's a fusion between Korean and Tex Mex. What you'll find is Korean flavors in, lets say, a taco. It's like a mash up of the best of both food worlds. And I love it!I discovered this new listing on Openrice called Gogi Korean American Street Food. Curious, I decided to search for it by going all the way to Tsuen Wan. It was somewhat easy to find. Located across the bridge from the MTR station, it was found on a busy road. The blue color restaurant was pretty small. It was mostly geared for take away but they do have a  chairs along a bench like table. The design was made to look like you were sitting in a freight container. Yup .. food truck feels! The place is run by two Korean guys. Oppa!Menu is in English and Chinese. There is no 10% service charge. They offer everything from burgers to tacos to wraps and even rice. Everything is a fusion of Korean and TexMex. Some items you can add $15 for a set upgrade that includes fries and a soft drink. They also have typical Korean street food as well.Beef Quesadilla ($48). Portion sizes was bigger than I anticipated. There was a total of four quesadillas. The filling was quite generous. The filling was beef, gooey cheese and pickles. The tortilla wrap was toasted to a wonderful crunchiness. This was fantastic! Warm, gooey and crunchy. The only thing I could fault on it was, it needed a bit more sauce to really bang up on the flavor.Triple Meat Cheeseburger ($75) plus fries  ($15 set upgrade). Boyfriend ordered this and upgraded with fries. There were a lot of fries! Good thing I didn't do a set upgrade as well and only ordered a pear juice otherwise I know I wouldn't be able to finish those fries. The fries were great though. Crispy and hot. Nicely seasoned. Just stingy on the ketchup. I need lots. The burger was huge. It had egg, spam, pickles, shredded lettuce, fried chicken patty, meat patty and cheese. HOLY WOW! I couldn't eat this all in one  bite. It was really good. Everything worked perfectly.  It was salty and sweet.  Tangy and savory. But I think the beef could have been marinaded with more bulgogi sauce to up the flavor profile. This place is true Korean American style food. Portions were  big and generous. Taste was intense and in your face. There was no holding back on anything here. Prices not expensive. If only I lived closer I would be a regular!
