It was my second visit but my first dining in experience at 德美壽司 as my first experience was takeaway. Last time I was already quite amazed by the high quality even for takeaway food and yet quite economical price. It was already over half a year ago! This time decided to dine-in to try out their dinner quality. Interior renovations were very Japanese style. As I was not very hungry and I was eating on my own, I just ordered a few sushi. I ordered one item each from their sashimi sushi, seared sushi and 軍艦. Orders were placed using QR codes. My orders were served to me very soon although it was quite full. High efficiency.

Big toro was served on a very pretty Japanese style plate. They served me sliced pickled ginger and wasaki even just for 1 piece of sushi. The big toro immediately melted in my mouth with no tendon at all. The fish oil went great with the sushi rice. The amount of sushi rice was not too much or too little.

There were loads of sea urchin and they were super creamy and fresh. Definitely free of nasty flavour. If the seaweed could have been even more crispy, it would be marvellous!

Presentation was nice. Both foie gras pieces were quite big and were both warm. Position was fixed by seaweed. Although they didn‘t have crispy crust, they were both super creamy and immediately melted in my mouth. Good to eat with sushi rice and there was no need to add wasabi or soy sauce. The loads of crisps on top added texture to the sushi. Quite a creative sushi dish.

I was so surprised that there was a complimentary mango egg pudding as dessert. It was definitely not overly sweet. The pudding was very smooth and the mango sauce was just enough to add some flavour.
So the overall quality of sushi was quite nice. Next time hope to try more of other dishes.
