It is so difficult to secure a booking without having to wait for 1-2 months at Spoil Cafe! With a plan for a late lunch, this was the perfect opportunity. The focaccia was served after we made our orders for the Set Lunch. It was a delight to eat - it was sooo light and soft, I could have eaten the entire plate but myself! It came together with balsamic vinegar and olive oil which is expected. In the set, you have the option of a soup or a salad. I went for the soup of the day which was Pumpkin

I went for the soup of the day which was Pumpkin & Leek Soup. I usually enjoy pumpkin soup so the addition of leek certainly enhanced the flavor of the dish. It is a small portion but still quite filling.
For my main, I went for linguinie+cream sauce+wild mushrooms. The cream sauce was divine! Certainly one of the best ones I've eaten (especially more so when you consider the price you are paying). Usually, I tend to avoid cream sauce because I find them lifeless, bland and does nothing to please my taste buds. The cream sauce here at Spoil Cafe was light yet packed with flavor.
We shared the cakes between 6 of us - 2 chocolate tart/dessert slices and 1 carrot cake slice.
The chocolate slice was dark and rich. It is quite heavy so a few bites were more than enough.
As for the carrot cake, it was light and airy. After filling myself up with all the food, I could not resist this. I would pick the carrot cake next time round too!
The service was warm and friendly and I was happy with our server!
