I had been super looking forward to dinner tonight because it was a decent Japanese meal at a petite restaurant in 土瓜灣. There were a big moon-like lamp and lots of beautiful sake bottles as decoration. Sashimi was a must for a full Japanese meal right? The 4 types of sashimi were scallop, 油甘魚, 鯛魚 and 赤身 (from right). They were all so fresh and delicious. The 油甘魚 was particularly thick and the red tuna was especially long. Yummy. Presentation was very good too!

Sushi was also a must for a full Japanese meal. The 8 pieces of sushi included uni topped by caviar, red tuna topped by edible gold, sweet shrimps topped by salmon roes, 鯛魚, 油甘魚, 北寄貝 and two white fishes. The quality of the uni was top notch, as it was super super creamy with absolutely zero nasty flavour. The amount of uni was very generous too. Sweet shrimps were quite big and they were very fresh and sweet. Red tuna was very long and thick cut. All other fishes were absolutely fresh and yummy. The amount of rice was just right, not too much to overload your stomach. The quality of sushi rice was good with the perfect amount of moisture and wasabi already added for you. Sliced pickled gingers were served and they were a little sweet which I quite liked.

The oysters were super fresh and of pretty top notch quality, as they were so fatty, smooth and juicy. It was not overly salty and we did not need to eat with lemon juice. The oysters were nicely topped by some 明太子 and chopped spring onion. Yummy!

Presentation was so nice! The beef tartar was done so well that they were all thinly sliced with quite a crispy crust and still juicy and reasonably rare interior topped by some chopped onion. There were 9 slices. The salad greens at the bottom were well dressed by very appetising yuzu dressing and were great to eat with the beef tartar. It was a good appetiser.

It was the first time that we tried black truffle 枝豆. The dressing was rich in black truffle sauce and vinegar and was so appetising. The green peas were fresh and tender.

There were 6 pieces. The amount of cheese was so much in the middle that it was so cheesy and rich in cheese flavour. It was served quite warm with some mashed radish on the side. The eggs were pretty smooth yet not overly oily with numerous layers inside. Quite well done.

What a funny name! It was quite a creative combo. The minced pork sausage was quite juicy. The amount of salted egg, which had been mixed with the minced pork, was just right that it wouldn't be over-added. Some mustard sauce was added on top with some chopped spring onion. It was quite a nice sausage.

The squid was so big and nicely cut into many edible pieces. It was of the perfect texture to chew but not overly chewy. The sauce was slightly spicy and sweet, which reminded me of Indonesian style grilled squid. Two slices of pretty and fresh and crispy lotus root were simple yet great to enhance the look of the whole dish.
We were basically content with all dishes. Service was very efficient that we kept eating and eating. The server was very friendly and asked for our comments of the food. We had a great meal here and would definitely recommend this restaurant.
