Their flourless chocolate cake is one of their signature dish. The cake was still warm when served, with a brownie-like crust and a delicious dark chocolate flavour. The cake had the texture of a soft sponge cake, and wasn’t the rich dense texture I was expecting. I suppose it’s because their cake recipe relied more on beating together the eggs to create volume than the typical butter-based recipe used by western bakeries. Regardless, the combination of a warm chocolate treat and cold vanilla ice cream is truly an all-time winner.
這間甜品店算是紅磡的一間老店，算是有點名氣。他們的無麵粉朱古力蛋糕是昔日獲獎作品之一。朱古力味香濃帶適量的苦澀味，表層有像布朗尼的脆皮，蛋糕質感軟熟，有點像海綿蛋糕。可能是因為他們的食譜主要材料是雞蛋，有別於西方餅店以牛油為主的作法，所以沒有那種紮實的口感。不過，暖暖的朱古力甜點配上冰凍的雪糕，實在是太正的配搭！😍
