My bride-to-be friend treated me dessert and we had a great time catching up with each other, at this long-time favourite local dessert shop. Their signature longan shaved ice with real longan fruits, nata de coco and poppy sago is our fave. Icy, refreshing and lightly sweet, lessening your burden (at least psychologically) while consuming desserts after dinner. I had a hot bowl of sweet walnut soup with steamed egg white. I had a hot bowl of sweet walnut soup with steamed egg white. It’s surprisingly good, moderately thick and velvety. The walnut flavour tasted natural and comforting. Egg white was jiggly and came in big portion.
