Since Cheesi Zio opened in KCP a couple of months ago, I've bought food there ten times. So I decided I had to post a review here for the first time. Also, this is the first time I waited long enough to take photos before digging in 😂I've tried most of their mains, desserts and soups. This time I went for their delicious Slow Cooked Beef Cheek and Gremolata Crumb Risotto 慢煮牛面珠意大利飯 $50 (full portion; $35 for half portion) and added their daily soup, Mushroom Soup +$6 (I don't know the actual name
I've tried most of their mains, desserts and soups. This time I went for their delicious Slow Cooked Beef Cheek and Gremolata Crumb Risotto 慢煮牛面珠意大利飯 $50 (full portion; $35 for half portion) and added their daily soup, Mushroom Soup +$6 (I don't know the actual name 😅)
The beef cheek was flavourful and tender. The gremolata bread crumbs were a perfect blend of lemon zest, herbs and garlic. The broccoli were also good.
The mushroom soup was great too. Not too salty but full of mushroom flavour. You can see it's got a lot of mushrooms blended into it.
Anyway, I highly recommend Cheesi Zio (zio means uncle in Italian)! I also really like their Baby shrimp confit cherry tomato & seafood spaghetti 櫻花蝦油封車厘茄海鮮意粉 $50 (full portion) and Duck Ragu & Mushroom Rigatoni 鴨肉醬蘑菇大碌竹通粉 $44. They also have mains that are $3x that are also really good, like their poached egg carbonara spaghetti and shrimp and scallop pasta.
Dessert-wise, I like their tiramisu and banoffee pie. Other than the mushroom soup, their crabmeat and cauliflower soup is also yummy. You can add a dessert and/or soup to the mains as a discounted set. I haven't tried their snacks, so I can't comment on them yet.
I also really like that they welcome Bring Your Own container and that they use paper boxes instead of plastic ones. Shops and restaurants that are environmentally friendly are awesome! 👍💪😍
