There are only numbered choices when it comes to quality brunch in Hong Kong; and Brunch Club and Supper is definitely a brunch haven enamoured of expatriates and locals alike. Enchanted by the place with its comfortable decor, genuine service and delightful dishes ever since years ago, I always came here to catch up with friends, to read or just to let my mind and body relax and adjust to a holiday's pace.We started off with the artisanal bread basket, the wheat bread was quite fresh though the
We started off with the artisanal bread basket, the wheat bread was quite fresh though the croissant was slightly less crispy than expected. The mixed grill was a collection of proteins; the sausage, poached eggs, bacon, ham were all satisfactory, except for the chicken breast which was a bit tough. The smoked salon egg white frittata was creamy as the smoked salmon brought out the flavour of the eggs without overshadowing them. The dipping sauce was zesty, though I was tricked into swallowing the chili. The highlight of the meal was the fabulous banoffee pie which was a mound of bananas topped with toffee-flavoured cream and cocoa powder that was best served chilled. The black coffee was strong and a great finish to the meal.
We passed a most pleasant couple of hours at this oasis at just $175 per head - an excellent start to a public holiday.
